Another reason I think Amanda is so frustrated is because, well, she’s mentally and physically aging. She’s been in the tapes for fifteen years, and has been stuck playing this child persona for ages. She’s probably in her twenties by now, but never got to grow up, and is still treated like a little kid by Wooly. I instantly thought this when I saw the tape of Rebecca in the bed and noticing she looked more like a teenager than a little kid

Did anyone else notice during the game that Amanda is trapped in the house unless she's with Wooly? She's completely alone and isolated unless Wooly is there to bring her somewhere else

One thing to mention about the wooly monster is that its actually ruthless. With the Amanda monster ending you hear Joanne struggling but not getting cooked, also the Amanda monster just holds Joanne back. But with the wooly monster ending… Joanne gets absolutely torn apart… (also side note, the amanda monster comes when Amanda gets upset, but when the wooly monster comes, it’s when Joanne’s talking about Hameln)

That "secret ending" with Joanne's death left me traumatized ngl her screams and how woolie turned on the walkie for Riley to hear was gruesome

OKAY, EXCITED TO TALK AMANDA. Here’s some of my thoughts:

* The demon names were ALSO in the first game; when Rebecca is made to chant Bye-Yell, Baa-lamb and Pieman. Which is Bael, Balam and Paimon, all demons in Christian sects. The first game also had Joanna’s letter about Jordan, which is some excellent foreshadowing that made me extremely happy to get a payoff for.

* “We’re all out of that” is really funny because after she kills Wooly in the first game, the snacks she shows Riley are all lamb product.

* As you showed, if you tell Wooly you like Horror stories, he freaks out and has some kinda panic attack. He might be remembering his own butchering? Or a demon attack.

* I don’t think it was Amanda’s brain that was removed. I think it was her HEART. In the “can we fix it” tape, she says her heart is broken and can’t be fixed. When we give her an actual, beating heart, she says, “thanks for trying.”

* Lastly, this probably isn’t important, but when you blast the radio, it says it’s President’s Day. With Kate’s calendar showing 2023, that means we have a date for when this game takes place.

It's funny how, in the first game, people were on Wooly's side and didn't trust Amanda. However, now it's mostly the opposite.

One thing of note during one of the secret tapes, Sam is reading about Alice in Wonderland, talking about Alice was in a dream, that when she woke up things would return to normal.

I wonder if Amanda’s brain hasn’t been removed but she’s in a coma created by Hamlen through surgery. Her dreams being what create the show in some way, and when she starts to become aware or angry the dream breaks down, the tapes glitch I’m not hundred percent on this idea, but I think it explains something’s better than brain removal.

Apparently, Wooly is someone old enough to blush when you type "Romance" as your favorite story. I think I'm subscribing to the forgotten Hameln employee theory, it's definitely not another missing kid who has been inserted in that world.

It's also worth noting that in the glitched out patience tape, Wooley descends. As far as I'm aware, only Wooley descends through the floor, as though he is descending to hell.

Lambs and rams have been used in demonic imagery time and time again, what if Wooley isnt this innocent, sacrificial figure we often associate him with and is instead an embodiment of some kind of mythological demon, given they are referenced in the meeting tape.

I’ve had this thought since the first game. Not sure if anyone has said this yet but I think Wooly in the “Containment Specialist” named in the credits of one the video tapes.
1) He has a waiting or break room when he’s not needed for the tapes.
2) Whenever Amanda goes of script or goes demon-mode he redirects/ contains her.
3) Amanda hates Wooly like she hates Hamlen.
4) Amanda seems to have more control of the demon after she “Un-alives” Wooly is the last game.
5) Wooly’s eyes going black before the monster shows up is Amanda putting the containment specialist out of commission so the Demon can run free.

I could be way off, but I’ve never heard of a Containment Specialist for a cartoon show.

Something that stands out to me and may throw a wrench in the “the monster is Amanda’s body” concept, is that the video in the hospital seems to clearly show a young adult hooked up to the wires and helmet and such. The colored videos seem to be two timelines: sometime shortly after Rebecca is presumably converted into Amanda, and the group 15 years later trying to figure out what happened. Given that frame of mind I think the video of the body was taken much later. Likewise the readings seem to line up with an EMG, which clearly suggests the brain is still present, as they’re studying its extreme reactions to certain stimuli.

So I’m more inclined to say that they have Rebecca in a medically induced coma, and have had her as such for the past 15 years.

Also to add! In the first game, when in an episode the credits appeared, in the 2nd ("In Your Neightborhood") and the 3rd one ("Uh! Oh! Accidents!") there are two names that stand out. First: "Containment Specialist: Danny McQuiggin" and the the other one: "Cheif Neurosurgical Officer: Larry Smith"
Honestly with what you just proposed Wooly being Danny ad the Butcher being Larry makes a hell lot of sense and explains why these where the only 2 odd credits in the past game

18:35 to add onto this i would like to add
1. The demon definitely cares for the wellbeing and happiness of amanda
2. Amanda in one of the previous games tapes was reading multiple demon names as to summon them
3. Amanda does know the general whereabouts of her demon.

My theory: amanda and the demon are in a contract between eachother but hamelin did stuff to her body to the point of head surgery so the demon looking out for the safety of its contractor went and moved her soul to the show hence why it protects the tapes.

Wooly is definitely there to regulate amanda to be more agreeable but has less control over his demon shown in the ferocity the demon has. Sort of like a more adult contract with a demon but with less restrictions and "bond" with the demon

Something about the Sam tape where he’s captured gives me the vibe he may try and escape, the facial expressions and him seeming to overhear the codes for leaving feels like he could somehow use that to try and sneak out,

I agree, the devs for Amanda the Adventure 2 went in HARD. A tride and true puzzle game at its core, with enough craft to really pull off the unsettling story-telling and fantastic monster scares. They knew exactly how to make you feel like you were running out of time without ever actually putting a tight time constraint, and the puzzles weren't too difficult to solve under that kind of pressure without being too easy n boring either. Amazing. It's actually really gosh damng good. Chef's kiss 👌 magnifique! The hint fax machine is also absolutely 10/10

I think the amygdala was the important call out in that medical scene tape. Its "levels" rise everytime there is an "incident". And that part of the brain, according to Google, controls fear, anxiety, and rage.
I'm no theorist, but since the show has been apparently running for 15 years..maybe the levels are rising bc it's all the times children have said wrong answers to her/Amanda?

i belveve that jordan/the possom was absorbed into the tapes cause when amanda is getting raedy for bed and about to brush her teeth the possom attacts her and she clearly says "how did you get here" implying that he wasnt there before

Another thing, in the very first game there was a secret ending with a digging site where Wooly tells the player to destory the tapes before dying to amanda, you might think he is trying to help but this game shows us what happens to anyone who tries to destory the tapes, and I am positive Wooly knows too.

something kinda interesting: the white stuff on the 'amanda demons' face? sorta looks like wool, right? wool over her eyes. could be a fun metaphor of wooly "pulling the wool over her eyes" or even nothing at all, but neat detail!

also, in the safety tape, has anyone tried using the hameln employee's authorization number in one of the prompts?

side note rebecca is suuuuch a girlboss for standing up for herself when the player is rude and if it turns out wooly is a hameln plant. go off queen <3
