This confirms that Amanda and That creature thing that looks like her are not the same. We see her communicating with the monster. They are NOT the same person!

Quick Theory: I think that Jordan is the possum because of how they kept trying to say “Joanna” at the end of the safe tape, and because of how Amanda addresses the possum as a “him” and not “them” or “her”

1:07:54 I think a lot of people are overlooking this small detail. After we give the Wooly doll to The Entity and they rip it apart we hear a really low sound. Upon hearing this the Entity just seems startled as it breathes heavily and runs away into the door. Upon getting the true ending of the game we see a completely different entity.
What I have noticed is that both entities share a stark resemblance to Amanda and wooly. So perhaps anybody in the tape has an entity that is tied to them.

What worries me though is that for this game it wasn't Amanda's entity who we just had to worry about what seems like woolies as well and that entity seemed a lot more dangerous and beast like especially since Amanda's own literally ran from it upon hearing it!

Now the questions I want answered, how are these entities getting out? How many more "entities" will we face? Because with everyone saying that the possum could be Jordan based on how he tried to call out to Joanne upon hearing her voice it could be likely he also has an entity tied to him.

Finally, what is Hamlen's overall goal in doing any of this?! Even for a "cult" its unclear what their motives could be if they have one.

I noticed that all the fairy tales alluded so far, Pied Piper (Hamlin), the reading of Alice in Wonderland (or Looking Glass) in the Secret VHS Tape and in the same tape the theater group is called Blue Fairy, which is Pinocchio, deal with kids being lead astray by someone/ something after making a promise or a promise was broken. Which makes sense knowing that each of those stories the characters go off to another world following it, some Pied Piper versions have the Piper take the kids away to a beautiful land, Alice finds Wonderland, and Pinocchio to the Land of Toys in the original story and Pleasure Island in Disneys version. These all can represent what happened to Amanda and the disappeared kids...

I have many theories I commented almost everywhere.


1. Amanda and monster Amanda are related but also separated.
Like, we knew in the previous game she could transform. But here, it was like there are the same person but with different personalities. While Amanda was in the tv, her monster self was OUTSIDE.
In the “When you’re feeling bad” Tape, When we have to invent a story (knight, princess, wizard etc..), and that Monster Amanda tried to attack us, Amanda pleaded it to not do this and let us try. When she was happy with the sad story and that Monster Amanda was about to attack us again, Amanda stopped it, convincing it to let us go.
See my point ?


2. The Opposum is Jordan (Joanne’s brother).
In the “Do you feel safe ?” Tape before I think the True Ending, when they all lunched at the screen, stuggling and wrestling to get the opossum away, it screamed :
“Jo..Jo- JOH !!! Jo-..JOH- JOH-AHH !!”
“Coincidentally”, Joanne’s name is with J.O.A. He was about to complete before the guys shut him up. Why would he randomly start screaming that if he didn’t know Joanne ? There’s no doubt of this.


3. I don’t think Wooly’s on our side.
Because you can see that Amanda hates him more for some reason, he’s like keeping Amanda from truly “express” herself through the games and…well,
We still don’t know his true identity. If he’s a trapped kid, what’s his real name or anything. In the treasure hunting, when Amanda founded the clothes inside the ground while digging, Wooly didn’t even say anything and immediately looked at Amanda and reburried it, trying to brush it off. Most of all, he didn’t even looked shocked !

And…if you look closely at the True Ending, it wasn’t Amanda who attacked Joanne. The monster was different, had some wool and a more animalistic ferocious head. Especially with that familiar ear raise. It was him. Who killed Joanne.

The jump in the story telling part is so effective because it shatters the rule that had existed up until then that you never saw that thing without some sort of build up, especially that close. Now you’ll always be on edge because you don’t know if/when it’ll happen again

Look at this reaction from Wooly about the possum. He looks surprised to see a random possum underneath their bench. He slowly starts thinking about it. Then turns around a bit shocked. He knew that was a real person. I think he figured out that the possum was Jordan or at least a real person.

Wooly knows more than he lets on.

I SWEAR IF WOOLY IS THE SECRET TWIST VILLAIN I WILL BE SO HAPPY.
HE SEEMED SO MUCH LESS PLIANT AND LIKE I DUNNO LIKE EASY TO PUSH AROUND IN THIS GAME.
HE WAS VISIBLY GETTING UPSET AT US, LIKE ACTUALLY MAD, AND AT AMANDA.
Or maybe they even work together as they come together in the true ending to get rid of the possum.

The fact that she knew Riley was about to be killed at 59:47 shows she knows and can see what’s going on outside of the show and at 1:07:53 are we just gonna ignore that something either made Amanda come to it or run from it even you can see the fear in its tone and action and are we not gonna talk about how Amanda is telling that beast what to do and what not to do they are connected someone in some way we just don’t know how maybe we’ll find out in chapter 3?
