I was playing this game home alone and genuinely forgot that the protagonists name is Riley.
So when Amanda says “Goodnight Riley” I slammed my computer lid shut, because my name is Riley too. Slept with the lights on for the first time in years. The game isn’t really that scary, just freaked me out hearing my name from this creepy kid.

It's weird how the monster is both controlled by Amanda but also has its own autonomy

My theory is the missing kids where used to keep Rebecca alive through organ transplants as she seems to be in a vegetative state and the feeling of rotting is the thrown out organs it would line up with the surgery of wooly in the first game and the second one on the secret tape her mind and soul being both in the real world and digital world she might be projecting her real body to the tapes and the monster being a protective spirit rather than part of her.

It could be the entity IS her body, maybe losing her soul or having the body be berried somewhere weird/off caused it to transform into that. And the reason why Amanda is able to communicate/control it, is because it IS her, or a revived husk

What's interesting is that after replaying the scene where Amanda, the Possum, and Wooly sinks into the ground while Hameln says "Every child has a creative light inside of them" Wooly seems to be the only one who's not fighting his fate. He's seems mildly annoyed but not fearful.
Here's my theory: Wooly was a character added by Hameln to keep Rebecca under control. Okay that's pretty much a theory we can all agree on but my point is: it's not Sam Colton. In good Christian faith I don't want to dip my toes in demonology but from what I know from Indie Horror Bah Lamb is a demon of child indoctrination. Whether Wooly is Bah Lamb's physical form in the tapes or the soul of a cultist's child who agreed to be Bah Lamb's vessel, Wooly is there to be Rebecca's prisoner guard. My only hole in this theory is why Wooly is so insistent on keeping the show family friendly. Maybe Amanda calling out the occult practices is tainting Hameln's reputation and hence trying to save herself.

I do wish he addressed the true ending where we see another monstrous entity attacking the mask woman. It is a new entity and it looks a lot like the possum from the tapes.

I really this whole game is about kids growing up before they were supposed to. Being exposed to things that don’t supposed to see. Fighting demons that they shouldn’t have. And a few concerned grownups trying to figure out what’s going on

I suck at explaining but my theory is that:

There’s a tape (the “cursed” one where everything is just distorted and weird I think but I’m not sure) where the meat man appears with the humans teeth (that also appeared in other tapes when they glitch) says something like “if you close your eyes for ten seconds you may feel this pinch”

Since we know Amanda is scared of the meatman and gets upset when you type “meatman” or “butcher” I think she might be scared of him because of the “surgery” (by the cult)she had to go trough and that possibly killed her.

The meatman reminds her of the people that killed her and maybe that’s why she doesn’t like him or is at least scared of it. And it also explain the “close your eyes 10 seconds” quote of the meatman

Im pretty sure that when shes saying "pie man" i think its paimon the demon of hidden knowledge. Which with how much we know about the story, makes sense

Since this game is very hyped up the horror aspect and life is very important when it's a third game comes out we get more lore and more info on this case

The other boy aka Wooley was being used to collect organs... and is probably dead in real life completely transfered into the gameunlike Amanda... I think he was the one who gave Amanda the toy chicken and was buried in he spot he is... but I also think that maybe the masked woman is a double plot twist.. maybe she is leading Riley into the company to be the next one to donate organs to Amanda or even be put into the game to help calm her ...

Im assuming the monster is Rebeccas body and her spirit is stretched across the tapes we find? If shes able to control it and it has lil puffballs, they're both Rebecca

I have a theory but on one of the tapes they mentioned three entities. I believe Amanda’s entity is one. And Woolley’s is another. Then who is the third entity
