Joanne's actor was incredible, especially the part during the credits where the radio turns on and you can just hear her gasping

The live actors in this game are genuinely so good. The way sam's actor is able to convey the conflict in his eyes and expression ON TOP of tone of voice is beautiful. The tension and restriction in his voice is perfect for the scene.

Stay safe ❤❤❤

2 things I noticed/believe
1. I don't think Amanda's monster even kills Joanne in the bad ending just because of how "vocal" we hear her die in the good ending to wooly. In the bad ending Joanne mainly sounds like she's struggling against Amanda but not being killed.
And 2. I just thought it was a funny thing with the whole "wolf in sheep's clothing" thing, woolys monster actually howls throughout the game. When you give Amanda's monster a toy she only stops killing you because it heard an howl.

Also, when Wooly says that the neighbourhood feels cozy and safe, Amanda goes "Does it, Wooly?" very sarcastically, with the tone of a person who questions someone while already knowing that they are lying. Same with the moment when Wooly tries to stop her from going into the alley, she also answers him with sarcasm, reminding him how he lied to her. The whole tape is about trust and how Amanda can't trust anyone, and how everyone is able to potentially hurt her. The sadness on Wooly face and him pleading to not talk about the subject of trust is very telling and I think it also fits this theory

I always considered Wooly a “Medical Puppet” to make Rebecca feel better, but she was having none of it. The fact that he trys to convince her with lines of “but I’m your best friend” to where she gets mad at him for keeping her there. He’s also the one to push going on adventures. (Like every adventure is just a bedside game of pretend.) Also when we fix his eye, it’s a googely eye.

There’s also the fact that she destoryed the Wooly Plushie and the acheviement was akin to anger management.

She hates Wooly, and she hates being there, and Wooly the medical puppet is there to distract her and keep her sidated.

Fun fact: My school's high-school band recorded the soundtrack for this game. They recorded it in our school auditorium

I'm honestly still aboard the "Wooly is the morally-gray Neuroscientist/doctor that transferred Rebecca's consciousness into the tapes" train. And I say "morally-gray" because he seems to somewhat care for the little girl he's being forced to experiment on, but he's also just another one of Hameln's puppets so he can't quite go against what they want him to do.

21:15 Amanda reacts negatively when real traumatic events are represented to her in some form. So there is no way she'd feel better by hearing something that traumatized her, i think she just enjoys the chaos of that story.

That element of winning over Amanda and earning her trust carries through so much of this game. Like if you answer "meatman" or "butcher" at certain moments, she'll flip out (I think she even says "what an awful thing to say to me") and either eject the tape or softlock the game so you have to load a save, right? Our actions and whether we operate in a trustworthy manner are taken into account by Amanda. Even when we get it wrong (like in the storybook tape), Amanda still advocates for us based on our previous actions.

I'd like to mention that NO ONE has mentioned that when Amanda monster attacks in the "When Your Feeling Bad" tape, Woolys eyes disappear and he freezes. Amanda can see the command the monster, and we know Wooly can see and interact with the world from the tapes, reacting to our choices. But he *DOESNT* react at all to the monster. Only once the monster stops trying to attack and retreats into the corner does Wooly come back

Ah yes, the question that proceeds to haunt me every day: “ *why wooly is* “

if you watch the video footage of her again, the voice of the doctor is the exact same voice that wooly has… i don’t think wooly is sam, i think wooly is the doctor that was watching her vitals

There's one thing i want to point out about Wooly's lore. In the very famous When You're Feeling Bad tape, when Wooly asks you about your favorite kind of story, if you put in "scary/horror" pretty interesting things happen. He says "t-those kind of stories are too scary for me-" then suddenly there are some flashing images of i don't know exactly Lol, i think they were hanged meat, then usual image comes back but Wooly is blurred with him screaming "NO!", some other flashbacks, then it comes back to usual as Wooly breats heavily saying "I wish i hadn't asked..." THAT is interesting.

The second game definitely changed how I saw Wooly. Something is definitely off with this sheep. Let's see what you got for us, Tom!

I always interpreted the dragon story as a warning. Telling Riley/the player that the demon can't be separated from Amanda without harming Rebecca.

17:35 This is why Amanda said it herself that trusting Sam was a mistake in the "Do you feel safe?" tape

I think that if anything, the sequel tried to make Wooly seem more antagonistic, so revealing him to be Sam would be odd. all the evidence is pointing towards him being an employee who maybe cares a bit more about Rebecca than the rest of Hameln but is still trying to do his job and keep her at bay.

That isn’t how the story that Amanda drew goes, the knight quote, ‘had to leave’, she goes to the wizard to ask him to help her find him, the wizard turns her into a dragon, and she finds the knight, the knight unknowingly kills the princess and she goes back to normal, and the knight grieves and decides to wander the world forever. It actually reminds me a lot of a ‘black’ or dark knight sort of story, a knight who broke his vow unknowingly and punishes himself for it.

7:50 I think maybe Amanda/Rebecca is protecting the other trapped souls, and her reasons for escape are more centered around the fact that she has a body to return to. The other kids just disappeared entirely, but Rebecca’s body is still out there. So if she’s let out, she has somewhere to go, but the souls of the other kids don’t, so she’s keeping them safe.

I don't think Wooly is necessarily bad because of one key detail he's the library mascot. I think it's more likely he's a whistleblower who is friends with Kate or just thinks what Hamelin is doing is wrong.
