Skills I learned from having a toxic/strict parent
- sneaking things without anyone noticing
- recognizing sounds like steps
- seeing through lies
- not making empty promises
- going through a day by barely eating

Thanks mom.

My friend was asked seriously "why are you like this?" by her dad, for fathers day, she killed herself because what he said made her believe that he wanted her gone, and she really loved him, she just wanted what was best for him. She took her own life, for somebody she loved.

"How are you depressed and unhappy? You're life is so good. I've given you everything you could want. You're just spoiled. You don't know what it's like in the real world. You've never actually suffered."

"I had it worse growing up." Trauma isn't a contest, mom.

Stuff I’ve learned while with a toxic mother:

• The sound of her car coming into the garage
• The sound of her footsteps
• When she is mad but doesn’t show it so I know to stay away until she calms down
• The difference between play-fighting and secretly hurting me
• How to stay calm when publicly humiliated

I’m still fighting anxiety and depression while this is going on 💔💔

I’m 13 and depressed and my parents would be super angry at me for accidentally making a mess I try to clean it right away but when they see it they say “your a burden” or “why are you like this do you want to have a future!” And I’m still scared of those sentences and for the people that have depression you can talk to me about anything and I’ll do everything in my power to help you, and I’ll try to make you feel better

The worst thing about our parents is that they neglect us everyday, but act surprised when something happens to us.

Honestly this video hurts a lot. I was forced to grow up very fast after I turned 11 and was molested by a close family friend three seperate times until he ran away. Also doing the same to a few of his nephews before leaving. Ever since then my innocence was shattered and most of these things except being told I was an accident weren't even seen as problems. Im 20 years old now, turning 21 soon. Yet I carry so much truama from my childhood. My Mom has gotten a lot better now that I'm an adult; but when I was 16 I fought her boyfriend several times after he put his hands on my Mom. Defending her from her abuser; and she took his side and let him back into the home. After a few more fights I moved out at 17, and returned a little over a year and a half later after winding up homeless for a few months of that. Thankfully he was gone, and that's when my Mom apologized for everything. But it hurts; so much to think back on half the shit I've done. I'm leaving out so much here; but I have been through the ring of abuse so much. These videos are hurting my soul because I can't help but watch them; and hate myself for just how commonly I can relate to things in them. I'm a broken person; and my fucking head hurts. All the time.
