Do not apply this much hardener to your body filler... Should have only needed a quarter to a third of what you applied. Heat and cold will also play into affect on hardening speeds. Apply that much on a hot day and it will be hardened in probably a minute.

On hot day use less harder cold day it takes longer harden. I once put to little stuff took 2 days to dry. Nicer you spread better sanding goes. Sand before fully hardens you'll know.

Can I use this to repair large (3" circles) of chipped clay from sides of a clay fire chiminea by sanding first, applying mixture, sanding again and painting?

Should i remove the bondo job i just put on to bare metal because it rained on it before i could sand and/or primer it?? Rust spot on roof, sanded like a mad man, cleaned and prepped surface great, applied bondo, same color stuff as in video.. let it dry then before i could get back out to sand it, about 3 hours after i put it on, it rains on it hard... should i try to break it all off abd start over or am i ok if i heat gun it and sand then prime? Or would there be water under the bondo now??

Does this also work on RV's? I am eyeing a few potential RV 5th wheel trailers, and I'm trying to determine if repairs can be made with this stuff. Or, is there a special type of body filler I need for RV Trailers? Of course, I know it depends on which body style of RV. I think the ones I am looking at are "Filon, a sheeting"... They are not the aluminum sheets, I know that much. Some kind of compound material. The problem is, I don't know how thick the outer compound is, before it gets to the inner layer Styrofoam insulation.

Is it better to drill a hole in the dent so the filler can grip better?

I just got a 1968 GMC truck and I'm wanting to restore it there are some bad rust spots and by that I mean the metal is eaten through, so my question is how can I restore it can I use mesh to hold it while I coat it or should I take a different approach? I want to restore it on my own and it be professional work, so I dont want someone saying I need to take it to a body shop if someone else can do it so can I all I need is guidance

I got a hood with hail damage on it like 30 or so dents. Do I need to sand it all the way down to metal or just rough it up? I’ve sanded almost all the hood to metal but wasn’t sure if a little bit of here and there is a big deal.

One thing I've picked up from the school of hard knocks is not to put a later coat of body filler over the first one. But am I mistaken? Is there a way to do this?

Suppose after sanding down a large repair, you still have a low spot. Is filler on top of filler OK ... given some type of preparation? Or is grinding it back to bare steel and filling from that the only right way to go?
