I prioritize THIS for stronger legs…🦵🏽

Many people tend to skip out on single leg strengthening but it is truly so important- especially for activities like walking, stair climbing, running etc 👀

Lunges are a great way to work single leg strength. To me, reverse lunges feel the best which is why I choose them.

Lunges tend to get a bad rap because they can cause knee pain when your body isn’t ready for them ☝🏽

It’s also a movement that requires a good leg warm up to get the knees ready ✅

IMPORTANT: this video is not saying to go out right now and everyone do weighted lunges. It is so incredibly important to gradually work up to them which is why I included 4️⃣ modifications ⚠️

Master each modification, meaning you complete the exercise easily and without pain before moving on. These modifications are not meant to all be done at once 👀

I personally take leg strengthening very seriously and although strength training can’t prevent absolutely every injury and condition it can make you such a resilient human 😍

There is extensive research backing the great benefits of strength training and this is simply one movement I like to prioritize for lower body health 👍🏽

I kid you not... I was a competitive bodybuilder in the 1980's and when I see your AMAZING legs it's like looking at pics of ME - waaay back then.
I'm now 70 starting ALL OVER. I've dropped from 220lbs to 170. Size 24 to my newest size this week : Sz 14!
But over the past 40 years there has been 5 car accidents, severe lung issues requiring lrg doses of PREDNISONE to prevent lungs from collapsing, and other negative life events, torn knees from heavy factory work (meniscus tears both sides on each knee)
But hey I wanna get back in the game and see how much realistic transformation I can make.

Awesome that you showed how to work up to being able to do this. Also for explaining what you meant by "master". If I squat down with both legs, I get stuck half way up.

Wow, now the strong, amazing legs make absolute sense. Thanks for the step by step. Recovering from a meniscus tear on knee and recent MRI which showed spondylolisthesis L4, L5 and compressed spine-so I will be working hard to learn how to get stronger and manage this new challenge in my life. Your videos are always life saver. Can you suggest some excercise to lift the leg up as I'm having arthritis and my knee is having swelling too.. I'm unable lift up that leg🥺
