This worked for me. Simple salt and pepper seasoning, seared each side on high for 30 seconds, then the sides for another 30, lower to medium heat and add butter and garlic powder and cook every side for one minute before flipping. All while making sure you keep pouring the butter and garlic powder over the steak as it cooks with a spoon. About 6 flips makes a good medium rare steak. 8-10 makes well done. So fast and easy, making this for my girl on Valentines day!

"let the pan do the work"
As opposed to holding the steak over the open flame with your hands.

My husband and I have tried cooking steak in a variety of ways as shown on YT, and so far this is the one that has consistently yielded the best results. Thanks for the tips, Mr. Ramsey.

I tried this myself last night and the steak was immaculate! I see why he is as far as he is in his career.

A let down not to see how's the stake on the inside, makes you wonder whether it's not what it supposed to be in the end

I've never been able to cook a good steak before this video. I just cooked a couple steaks exactly like he showed, and they were the best steaks I've ever cooked, and possibly ever eaten, in my life. I definitely recommend this.

I tried this today for my parents' anniversary. I like the outcome of my steaks and my parents seem to be pleased that I learned to cook, and it was from this video! ^-^

Followed the Gordon Ramsey YouTube video for cooking the perfect steak and it came out amazing. My husband said it was as good as any top tier steak house. Considering I paid a fortune for the meat I wanted to be sure that I didn't mess up so I was thrilled that this technique worked so well.

Just tried this. Best Steak I've ever made hands down. Probably one of the best sirloins I've had in general, even.
