I realized the potential of carries when I had to carry a 75 lbs duffel bag only 0.7 miles to a hotel. My lower back and calves were COMPLETELY destroyed (but as you said, in a good way!) I had to take multiple breaks on the way there! I am now looking to implement more carrying into my training. Even just carrying a 24 pack of water bottles 1.5 miles was hard
