I’m a contralto so I have no problem with lower notes. One of my conservatory vocal coaches had me study mezzo-soprano many years back. I asked her if she was crazy! 😂 She was not and it opened my higher range. I remember I would end up lifting my shoulders and singing through my throat when I started hitting high notes in the beginning. By the end of that year I was able to open up my higher registry as I did with my natural lower registry.

I’m a soprano and hate my sound as i go into my high range, even though it’s my comfort level, , it’s just that high pitched piercing feeling that comes with the soprano range lol 😂, .. or its just my sensitivity to how I hear myself when I sing, .. if i belt higher tones, i hate the sound of it.. i stick to the middle and lower soprano range in your head voice because of that but if i need to sing higher i still do anyway just because i love the song, or because whatever, .. but i feel like all sopranos feel that lol 😂

Hi Victoria. I am a woman that just interested in singing after watching some of your videos and Dimash Kudaibergen's songs. When I try to find out my vocal range (through app called sing sharp) I found out that my lowest note with normal register is G#2 and with whistle F6... And if I do vocal fry, I can sing A1!!!
Is it normal, Victoria???
