Absolutely!! I love kefir, but had to stop drinking it.

I have swelling in my intestines when I have ANYTHING but ruminate meats! I ate veggies for years not understanding the damage they were doing to me. I’m now 73 years old and completely carnivore.

The carnivore diet is amazing. So much more energy and clarity of thinking. Weight loss too. Still weak with the carbs but persevering. As soon as its pure carnivore, it is like the energy level stays elevated. So glad I try to stick to it.

Age 78, carnivore now 22 months! Super results. Like now zero arthritis pain! I do some dairy, grass fed butter, Kefir, high fat cheeses. Low fat Never!

I am a carnivore because of MS, not weight, and I added more dairy specifically to maintain weight because I was getting too thin with a pure carnivore diet. But I have already told two of my coworkers who are trying to lose weight that pure carnivore is the best way. I honestly don't know how to not lose weight eating a purely carnivore diet.

My morning ritual is 2 cups of coffee with a half a stick of butter in each cup, with a pinch of heavy cream and cinnamon. After those cups are finished, I pour me a large glass of ice water and dont eat until 1100 or sometimes later. Always have energy, feel great and remained at the same weight for the last 6 months (after losing 30 lbs when I started a year ago.)

I used to get weak on the carnivore diet but with heavy cream and sour cream, I feel like I found the right balance

I am Dutch and do great on most dairy; cheese, butter, sour dairy products and raw goat milk.

Butter does indeed have a protein, casein, as well as lactose that can cause distress or inflammation, in some people. I've also read that those who are sensitive to gluten can have cross-reactive symptoms with coffee. If you feel great, eat butter. If it makes your joints feel stiff, then don't go crazy on those butter bites!

I eat no more than 5 slices of cheese a day and no more than 100ml of full fat milk.

Since ditching carbs I found I can actually eat dairy (!!) And my digestive system is completely different. I used to take Gaviscon at least once a day but since December 2024 I have had a single gaviscon, nada.

This low carb life is a real eye opener, things heal in ways you'd never even thought they would. You discover gradually that things you'd forgotten about like living in pain aren't there any more.... I can bend down and pick up anything, I couldn't bend at all last year because of the stomach pains, pains in my thighs, knees, which I always attributed to the fact I'd lost my hormones to the start of the hike up Menopause Mountain.

All I can advise if do Carnivore as purely as possible for at least 3 months - once you've achieved that experiment with cheese and dairy but as soon as you feel a flare up, STOP cos that means you're never going to be able to eat it 😢 but that's a small price to pay for the other amazing benefits like weight loss.

it seems like I was lactose intolerant for a while there. But I noticed it was worse when I would have cheap ice cream or that soft serve they gave for free at the university cafeteria. I noticed if I had organic milk I had no problem. also never a problem in small amounts in my coffee. And now on keto I'm having dairy nonstop and it's great! I'm making a modified lasagna which is basically regular lasagna but extra meat and no pasta. So that leaves ricotta mozzarella tomato sauce and Parmesan. I don't even miss the noodles.

Fully agree, this is my experience. Better with just butter. Other dairy is less frequently consumed.

I got into carnivore mainly to lose weight but was greatly encouraged/inspired by Jordan Peterson and his daughter. (Side effect of my carnivore experience: I'm off BP meds). I also greatly appreciate Dr. Ken Berry... wish Trump or RFK jr would make him an offer he can't refuse... anyway, the dairy thing is very true. In fact, when I reach my goal weight, I'll stay carnivore but add a glass of whole milk everyday. Milk is like a desert for me. I just love it.

Raw, grass fed, and A1 grade organic milk has done wonders for me! And I LOVE milk even as an adult. I guess I'm one of the very rare individuals who can drink consume milk, no problem. Plus, I'm Asian! I refused to be commonly associated with that genetic inconvenience 😁

Added butter and cream are by FAR the most common reasons weight loss stalls happen on keto or carnivore. Cut the fat results happen fast
