It is a well-known fact that dairy products are a great source of protein. But there's more to it than that: dairy can also provide benefits for your body and mind. In this interview with Dr Bill Schindler, we discuss the benefits of raw dairy and how to eat like a human. Let's go into detail about what makes raw dairy so special, how it can help you achieve your fitness goals and why it's an important part of a balanced diet.

Raw milk, like all other dairy products, is the best form of milk you can consume. It is more nutritious than conventional milk because it contains beneficial probiotics and enzymes that are destroyed during pasteurization. Raw milk also contains higher levels of beneficial minerals that are lost during the processing of other types of dairy products. For example, raw cheese has higher levels of calcium than pasteurized cheese. These factors make raw dairy much easier to digest than conventional forms of dairy such as pasteurized or homogenized cheeses which may cause bloating or indigestion in some people

Dairy Benefits

Dairy products are a good source of protein and fat, which can help you feel fuller longer on a Carnivore Diet.

Dairy products are also a good source of calcium and vitamin D, which both play an important role in keeping your bones strong.

Plus, they’re packed with B vitamins that help your body convert food into energy. Dairy is one of the best sources of iodine, magnesium and potassium — nutrients that keep you energized by fueling every cell in your body with oxygen.

Dairy is a great source of protein and fat, especially when it comes from grass-fed cows

Dairy is a great source of protein and fat, especially when it comes from grass-fed cows. You'll find a good dose of calcium in dairy products, along with vitamins A and D. Calcium is important for building strong bones; vitamin A helps maintain healthy eyesight, and vitamin D helps your body absorb more calcium from food. Milk is also an excellent source of riboflavin (vitamin B2) and niacin (vitamin B3), which are both essential for the production of energy in your body.

Switching to Carnivore has done so many good things for me, but ditching dairy is one thing I won't do. Eat less of it, sure. But the immense amount of will power and determination it took for me to stop eating literally everything else was a massive accomplishment. Dairy is the last "sweet" that I enjoy and I need something damnit lol

Dairy... I have my own goats that eat the wild greenery around our place. They are raised as naturally as possible, and every year I try to do better than the last. Yes, I will definitely continue drinking the fresh, raw, sweet milk my girls provide.

Will never give up no lactose aged cheese. It works perfectly with carnivore

So happy to see someone not demonize real milk. Raw milk is amazing for some people. Raised my kids on it. I love it. My kids were bionic when they were growing up and I swear this was one of the reasons. Raw milk from grass fed jersey super clean cows (no vaccines, no drugs etc) is the only thing that keeps my esophagus feeling good (years of serious damage). I have had other raw milk and for me the purity and high fat matters. I do drink it cold. My body loves it.

When my kids were little we lived on a farm and had fresh raw milk every morning. It was left to allow the cream to rise, which made beautiful butter and what was left was very low fat milk, drunk at room temperature. When you get dairy straight from the cow it doesn't cause the chronic health issues. I discovered a farmer that sells Buffalo dairy products and also meat, and it is far superior to normal dairy.

People, don't change your WOE because one man says so! If raw dairy works for you, as it does for so many people, keep doing it.

My family and I drink raw milk exclusively. It comes from a local farm down the street. We’ve been drinking it for over a decade.

I never drank milk. I did eat almonds and they caused me chronic dermatitis for years under my nose. I used almond milk, almond butter and snacked on them. Several dermatologist later they never even asked about what I ate they just wanted to give me a steroid cream. I figured it out on my own from elimination. I stopped eaten almonds an noticed within a week it was mostly gone, within a couple of weeks it was completely cleared up.

Dairy is what helped me. I lost 7 lbs right away and then nothing, even though I wasn’t cheating. I was trying to have a lot of fat but still no more weight loss. I watched a video from carnivore doctor and she showed some drinks made from heavy whipping cream. I decided to get off coffee by replacing it with one of these drinks. I started weaning myself off by having an espresso in the morning and then I took the drink on the go when I left for work. It was about 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream whipped with vanilla using a frother. Then I added an egg yoke and whipped it more and then I added 1 Tbls of butter and 3/4 cup of hot water. I drank this in place of the coffee I used to take on the go. I would also have another in the evening bc there was no caffeine. Eventually I stopped the espresso altogether. The very first day of drinking this, I noticed my ketones went way up and I lost 0.8 lbs the first day and then the weight just kept coming off. I can still enjoy a hot drink but without the caffeine. I only needed to lose about 20 lbs, but it wasn’t happening until I started having whipped cream. I just wanted to pass this along as a testimony of someone who benefits from it. Everyone is different so you have to do what works. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that I had back pain in the middle right side of my back. It felt like it was cramped all the time. That’s now gone and I now know it was related to the coffee. I wouldn’t even notice it wasn’t bothering me and then I would have my espresso and bam, the pain appeared. It would then dissipate throughout the day. A lot of these stories about milk having pus etc is lies. I knew a lot of dairy farmers and had my own farm with milk goats and that’s a bunch of propaganda. Animals that have infection issues don’t produce milk so there no way that milk had pus etc. Also, sick animals don’t produce milk. Don’t be fooled. I admit some people are sensitive to dairy just as others are sensitive to other things so I think you should do what works for you. Don’t let dairy fear scare you into giving it up if you don’t have issues with it.

Another great video, very impressed with your channel. Just wanted to mention as it might be handy for people, that parmigiano reggiano (commonly known as Parmesan) Is sold at most supermarkets and is made from raw milk. Pecorino also is sold at many, and that's made with raw sheep's cheese.

Having spent most of my working life within the food industry most within the dairy industry, this video opened my eyes to the whole industry that I never knew. Especially as I was one that maintained all the machinery with in the industry. Dr Bill the whole process so correctly and what he says makes total sense, that I never realized was the case. Wonderful wonderful video and I love all your wonderful content.😊

Casomorphins at work here, considering the extent we will go to in order to keep consuming something we shouldn't be consuming in the first I am a cheese lover and sour cream, too, but I have literally tried raw milk, cream, and cheese from every animal on farms that I can find to try and find something that won't inflame my body in multiple ways. Unfortunately whether fresh and raw or fermented, none of it works for me. :/ After all of this experimentation over many years, I have finally decided to be good to my body and keep it simple with meat and fat from the meat only. This has put my autoimmune conditions into remission, but it took awhile to heal from all of that! Good news is that when you separate yourself from the dairy, the cravings do go away eventually, as it doesn't even tempt me anymore, Thank goodness!

I eat a little bit of whatever raw cheese I can find with every meal: parmigiano reggiano, comte, gruyere, roquefort and I am fine. Delicious and binds my oxalates.

I’ve been stuck at my weight since starting carnivore, for weeks, I dropped 10 lbs in just like 3-4 days since then I’m stagnant, the only thing I do off carnie is coffee with cream and or half n half…. So I’m going to quit dairy tomorrow and see what happens! If it works I’ll update comments!!!
Ps I’m half Sicilian and half Croatian both families history goes back to 1500s so I’m definitely used to dairy. although, the dairy we get is garbage, with carrageen and other crap…. But I have zero access to great dairy
Update: quit dairy in coffee i like it black now and lost weight again!!

Nope. Not ditching dairy. Granted I don’t drink milk and use mostly fermented dairy but still, I’m keeping it.
