In this short video, we’re going to talk about the seven foods that will help you sleep better and get to sleep faster.

Foods for better sleep:
1. Celery
Celery contains a chemical that lowers blood pressure and affects the central nervous system—giving a calming effect. Just three celery stalks could help you relax.

2. Cheese
Cheese contains calcium, which relaxes the muscles and nervous system.

3. Green peppers
Green peppers are high in vitamin C. Vitamin C increases oxygen in the blood and supports the adrenals.

4. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar supports healthy pH and oxygen levels.

5. Molasses
Molasses has a lot of potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron. These minerals help calm the nervous system. Only try molasses if you’re not trying to lose weight.

6. Almonds
Almonds are loaded with magnesium. Magnesium helps keep the heart in rhythm and helps the muscles and nervous system relax.

7. 7-10 cups of salad or vegetables every day
This gives you a lot of potassium, magnesium, and other minerals, some of which are physiological tranquilizers.

goodness me I've lived with potassium deficiency in my younger years I used to get a lot of that pounding in the ears. ever since I got in my 40s I started eating healthy. Thanks for the info.

I mix apple cider vinegar with Meyer lemon juice to get both more acid and vitamin also eat almond butter fat bombs after dinner and take magnesium citrate. It does help...but I will say this....if your mind is overwhelmed, stress will keep you awake regardless of what you eat or pop. So get that in order and your sleep will get I also take the Good Doctor’s Sleep Aid

I have heard that eating the stalks of cabbages (the thick white bit that people cut out and throw away) is good for sleeping.

Berg opinion - 1 celery calming, 2 cheese calcium relax, 3 green peppers VitC, 4 apple cider vinegar pH, 5 molasses electrolytes, 6 almonds magnesium. Salad has almost no nutritional value - Berg is now keto.

Thanks to your videos dr. Berg, I eat green leaves in every meal. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its still difficult to down 7cups a day. So I try to do green shakes in between meals. I have also given up grains. I have lost 20pounds and my pcos seems to be better managed.

Argh! That heartbeat in the ear when trying to sleep ... have had that for years ... didn't realize it was a vitamin deficiency. SO annoying, constantly changing pillow shape/position so I don't hear it when trying to fall asleep. hehe. Between this video and the "foods to avoid" video .... I think I have my 3rd meal problem fixed. Thanks again, Dr. Berg.

Good information, thanks. I have difficulty sleeping when I've inadvertently eaten too much protein. Cheese has stopped the cramps. Thank you so much - I have halved my asthma medication and it's not quite three months since I started the keto diet.

What can I do to be able to take apple cider vinegar? I even take it diluted with lots of water through a straw and it still kills me and gives me horrific pain in teeth and mouth... Would acv pills help...?
