I was doing some TMJ research when I came across your video. You hit the nail on the head. As we become more advanced and specialists like myself deal with Head, neck and jaw dysfunctions, people need to seek the correct type of treatment for their problems.
Myoskeletal therapy is becoming known for its high success in Body balance, and one of those areas is TMJ. And I will use the term TMJ loosely because there has been confusion in the terminology surrounding the naming of the face and jaw, but that's another day.

I treat many people with "TMJ" problems, And for decades, people have been programmed to think that their teeth play a huge role in TMJ problems. But are shocked to hear that this is not necessarily the case. It is only about two percent of the time, and that came to be fixed just as quickly since muscles and trigger points play a role; body alignment is the primary focus on TMJ dysfunction. The TMJ is part of the musculoskeletal mechanism that has to do with jaw movement and influences head position.

My jaw only clicks when I chew on the left side. No clicking if I chew on the right. Although the clicking is on the right side. I have clicking when I move my jaw SIDE to SIDE. A lil click when I open my mouth.

Good video Dr.D. I notice recently that I have some clicking issues, and it does happen more when I chew fast. No pain but the left side of my jaw which was the side with TMJ pain seems to click more & louder than the right. Will do these exercises next time I eat. @BuffaloTMJ Thanks for the helpful videos. Longtime history of jaw, head, neck & facial pain. Had many "equillibrations" done many years ago. Using oral appliances now without full sympton relief. My #2 tooth has been gone over a year. My bite had already not been meeting well for many years, but ortho consult said orthodontics would only give about 10% improvement, so maybe not worth it. Recently had #1 extracted. Still have three other wisdom teeth. Lower wisdom teeth tilt up in the back and lean toward the front, raised above the plane of the other teeth. Since #1 removal, teeth hit only very hard on back left, and none of the right teeth meet at all. This is straining left jaw & neck even more. Could chewing without teeth hitting make much difference? Could it be possible that remaining wisdom teeth still need removal? Or just more bite adjustment needed? It was suggested a long time ago to remove them, but I didn't (long story). Thanks.

Thank you for the tips I’ll make sure to follow them, but i noticed when I apply a little pressure in the side which clicks the clicking stops? What does that means?

Hej. Its clicks for me every time when I open or full close, i had a accident when I was 16 now I am 28.. When I put my index finger on my right side disc and make pressure then its just disappear. I can open and close how fast I want and no clicks. Can you please explain why its like that? Thank you

My left jaw joint clicks whenever I chew on my right side of my mouth and then I can reset it opening it slowly

My problem is dat I do suffer from TMJ from 4 years. After seeing many therapist. Today and with the daily exercices, feel better, may open wide my mouth. Yet clicks r there. On My rite side still feeling it abnormal. Although no pain. Shoud I keep patient. Clicks r there but less n less. I want to know. If it takes more time. Wont give up

Thank you for very thing I was so worry and I could not sleep at night and I cry a lot but I’m still scared I’m only 11 year old and I’m going through this it is really hard for so if you make this video please do not lie because this is not funny, as I said I was only 11 years old I’m in grade 5 and this freaks me out, one day I found out my neck hurt so bad then a few more days I started to have headaches then one day one day I open my mouth I heard a clicking sound I was scared and freak out I didn’t know what to do.
