@shickeredo its abs, hips and very good ab workout
keep your back flat, dont let it sag
also, from the flat planks you can alternate to left and right planks, one arm on the ground and the other in your hip

Thanks Sarah. I used to do crunches only. Now after your video I am inspired to do planks. Please keep adding more of your great videos.

BTW you have a great fit body (meant as a compliment)

I love your triceps (back of the arms right?) they're so tone, I'm well jealous! Also love your yellow top, it's so summery! Me needs one of those! :) Will try the plank later, didn't know you could do it with your arms straight.

2 min 10!! i feel so proud, yet so tired after doing it. that was EXHAUSTING. Never thought that the plank could be that much of a workout/be so tiring! plan to video it later, this was my test run X ]

I thought the plank was on the elbows? For this comp. are we supposed to have arms straight like in the vid?

@SarahsFabChannel You're right. It's one of those that look much easier than it is to peform. After a minute, you really feel it. I started from when you show the form at 1:00 and did until the end of the vid to instantly comment on it. :P That's a minute and a half and I could've kept going. I estimate 2-3 mins of doing it for real.

Any benefit to this over push ups? Push ups are less boring.

i have a question for flatter stomach and planks. do we always have to contract our stomach for the best results? and if so do we have to hold it in "as if someone was about to punch u" ?

I just did it and managed 1min6secs. Not even worth videoing it. :/ I need to start doing this more. Ooh, and I noticed that you do your plank differently to how I've seen it done before, you had your elbows straight. I did it on my elbows. Does it make much of a difference? Like, does it add less or more intensity? Thanks :)

@SarahsFabChannel well i see your point but i just presumed you wanted good form as most of your videos put strong emhasis on that. IMHO i think you need to work harder to keep good form so getting a longer time is more difficult. Whoever you choose as the winner i will be a good sport about it.

PS. Thanks for the complement though! It has made my day :D Please do more challenges, they are fun!

i can do the plank for actually quite a long time! couple of minutes but i dunno exactly. Also i do them with my elbows and forearms on the floor instead of hands like you did. Du you want the plank done the way you showed or elbows or either?

Probably will post a vid but yea ill do some practice first!

I did 2:00 but my shoulders really hurts I think the blank on elbows is much better for the abs but whatever I am not going to win anyway :) by the way I love your videos and I am going to subscribe

@dsmtsi This is high plank.. low plank is on elbows and is harder, engages the core more.

once i did one for a contest with my volleyball team and they told me i did it for about 3 and 1/2 minutes.. haha im very competitive so ive never come close to doing one for that amount of time since.

heey i dont want a strong abs and not a float stomacks i want my abs to be visble i can make them visble but only if i put them about (and it's kinda hard putting them out for all the time) so if u could tell me how many days a weak and what exercise i can do it would be great
