Running uphill are the only times I don’t have pain in my shins. For me it’s running on flat that’s painful and downhill isn’t even an option for me anymore.

as a former cross country runner and now 2-3mile average jogger. I enjoy the pain in shin splits, it always goes on its own and once I’m back in condition.

Shin pain is what keeps me from running the most. It’s almost instant and feels like my shins are going to explode. It sucks too because idk how far I can even run aside from stopping from shin pain.

Mostly valid tips. Tip 4 can maybe be translated to mid or fore foot striking instead of heel striking. Tip 1 is very strange, most people incl myself with shin splints have a much better time running up hills because it significantly reduces impact forces
