Same. Alcohol just isn’t worth it. It’s a crutch for a lot of people to deal with their own issues, stress, inability to talk or be social, etc.

I know there are people in my life who loved that I was an alcoholic. When I stopped, they would accuse me of being drunk whenever there was a family gathering. The only thing that saved my reputation was everybody knowing I don’t drink.

Edit: if you’re fighting to get sober, stay strong. It’s difficult but we’ll worth it on the other side.

I just tell people I’m a recovering alcoholic. Then there’s no conversation.
I don’t drink because I choose not to, but others don’t need to know, and have no right to question me.
So, Why tell the truth when a lie will do?

You can rlly do this w so many more things. I have PTSD whenever I see a certain dog breed so I just lie and say I’m allergic to dogs whenever there around and I’m trying to avoid them.

Sad part is it probably won't be enough, marriages just find a way to end these days. Irreconcilable differences is the number one reason but truth is there are too many options and too many sexual experiences that make you wonder what if...just my opinion though.
