What is "baiting"? This term is often used when discussing narcissistic individuals, but what does it mean? In this video, I will define "baiting" and explain how it's used by narcissists to control their victims. I feel ill today from being badgered by that narcissist while I'm grieving the loss of my mom. The fatigue is overwhelming, and my stomach is in knots. Some days, I just need an off switch where all thoughts of that narcissist can be shut off. I've developed an oxidative stress disorder where it becomes harder & harder to say, "I'm in control." Not getting enough oxygen to my bloodstream, heart & brain, such that I get dizzy & have brain fog & sleep disruptions. It helps to have this channel where I feel there are others in my corner.

I was watching on this forum today a woman stood up to being bullied, and there were several adult women in the forum calling her 'unhinged'. I did stand up to their behaviour and then the gang turned round on me. Then I went Grey Rock.. and then I deactivated my account so all my messages disappeared, they were so annoyed they couldn't send loads more baity messages

Words carry power and using a good word can make all the difference. The words have an important context.

Highly recommend:
-“In CHARGE” - you have the overview - set boundaries - overall power to make things happen. Everything is under your authority. You can relax and only move when they … whatever.
In contrast
(In CONTROL - implies constant unrelenting vigilance - micromanaging to bring things back under control - always on alert making sure say the car on ice is lined up. Exhausting.)

Highly Recommend:
They made us a TARGET! (Because we are so wonderful.)
We were walking down the street - they, a predator, glommed onto us and moved in. We can learn to NOT become targets. We have the ability and smarts to change and grow and learn how to live so they are not attracted to us.
In contrast
(VICTIM implies - helplessness, being naive, unknowledgeable, powerless, living in a never ending pit that just gets deeper, forever taken advantage of, no hope, doomed.)
