Ingredients for Sourdough Sandwich Bread

600 grams all purpose flour
14 grams salt
75 grams sourdough starter
440 grams water

Bake at 425 for 40-50 minutes

Lyds I love this recipe and the bread looks fantastic!! I am an artisan bread fan as you know but I could easily get on board with this recipe! It’s always nice to have soft sandwich bread and this definitely fits the bill. One tip, spray some non stick on the plastic wrap before putting it on the dough for the last 30 min rise. Cheers!!

Hi Lydia! Your bread looks delicious. We grew up on sour dough and rye bread, I remember my Mum trying to make it as a kid and It never turned out soft like yours. Hers was very dense and heavy bread but it did taste nice... we used to and still do buy ours from Perry's bakery who specialise in continental bread, my favourite is a bread they call bauernbrot rye slice. It's still made the old fashioned way and tastes great.
Thanks for sharing this recipe Lydia, I'll give it a try once I get my starter right.
