A Quick, easy, 3 minute video with all the key steps on how to make a sourdough starter

Just two ingredients needed; white bread flour, and tap water

Each 'feed' of the sourdough starter requires
100ml water / 3.5 oz / 0.4 cups
100g flour / 3.5 oz / 0.4 cups
That is all...

Please note, the exact measurements don't matter that much, you are looking to make a thick smooth batter, it is more important to keep an eye on the room temperature while fermenting the mix.

Try to keep your starter in a warm, dry place, out of direct sunlight, ideally around 22 °C / 70F

Hi, great video! Just a question - can we use plain flour instead of bread flour? What is the difference?
Thanks!

Just wanted to confirm but did you use a plastic vessel for your starter?

The air down here in Singapore is very humid. Is it suitable to cultivate such dough starter? I'm concerned the flour water mixture may turn moldy, many things turn moldy easily here. Thank you
