Very good advice. I believe bullies are sociopaths. They are extremely insecure people and their actions can be detrimental. They do cower when they are confronted.

I have actually experience this yesterday. It seems like everyday I try to fit in. I had mental breakdowns as a result, and finding this video is answers to my prayers. I am still waiting to see karma because eventually it will strike back.

I worked at this Japanese restaurant called Chikara at Westfield Shepherds Bush in London. Over this past six months, A chef there called Patryk Gwadera from Poland kept abusing me both verbally and physically. He attacked my body saying that I am fat and gross. He threw stuffs at me while I was working. He always picked on me if I did anything wrong. Staffs there can ask chefs to cook for them. But he always refused to cook anything for me, so I had to act as a chef at the grill to cook for myself. He always ordered me to do things(such as taking more plates) that he could do it himself. When I didn't do it fast enough, he shouted at me asking me how long. He made fun of me by putting ice cubes inside my T-shirt and use the water hose to spray me. He wanted me to leave the job so bad that he said he would hold a party if I leave the job. One time, he didn't come to work on a busy Saturday just because he didn't feel like working. They still allow such bad manner person to work there. All this time, my colleagues and managers all have seen me being bullied and I have told them what I felt. What he has done to me has damaged my mental health, mind and brain for a life time. However, none of them bothered helping me or trying to make him stop all these abuses. No one even gave him any warnings. One time, my manager tried to warn him about this because I threatened to take legal actions against his harassment. But he was smiling all this time and never took any words seriously about what I said or the manager said. It has been an unforgettable abuse that i will never be able to forget what I have been through and how helpless I felt while working there. In the end, I left the job because I no longer want to endure the abuse. I want to wrote this to let people in London or even the world to know and avoid working in such a abusive environment. I won't stop sharing until the justice has been served.
I do certainly hope that one day my story will be heard and that he will be punished for what he has done to me and other girls who have worked there before.

This is the polish chef who attacked me:

There should be a national database of convicted workplace bullies.

If you are bullied by a supervisor people the victim always feels if they do a better job and be appreciated, nothing is further from the truth. If its not one thing they will find another.

Anyone experiencing (or recovering) from workplace bullying should read up on workplace psychopaths, because often, that's what bullies actually are.

'Snakes in Suits' is a good intro on the subject or the movie 'I am a Fishead' which is here on Youtube.  There's lots of good info out there and it's very useful for anyone going through it.

I was bullied at work the other night. This coworker tried to get me in trouble, stating lies but when he was proven wrong he was trying everything in his power to make me feel like I did my job incorrect. It all backfired and he ended up verbally attacking me at the end of the shift. He was trying to intimidate me and I was getting uncomfortable and it ended up in a heated argument. I don't know how to go about turning this in. I have supervisors who were witnesses that know I did my job correctly.

I started to look at my role in being targeted as I just wasn't equipped with the skills to deal wth bullies. My best weapon has been working at assertiveness skills, which I have already used very successfully, we teach others how to treat us. Confront bullies, but do it in a non aggressive way, a simple 'pls don't speak to me like that' or when you do that, it makes me uncomfortable, is effective b/c they have to own their behavior, they dont get away with it. Yr silence is their best weapon.

The opposite of that is carry on without thinking, and that's when mistakes may well happen! I have prevented myself making errors at work by 'stopping and checking' things.

@Kelly14UK, I'm sorry to hear of your experience, I ended up being fired also b/c this bully was spreading lies I was unaware of. My only regret is that after I confronted her, I did not follow through to management, which being a temp, I decided too risky. It was a mistake I won't repeat. I'm in a permanent job now and the people are kind and wonderful to me & Im happier than ever, unlike my miserable bully, I had 3 months, she has to live with herself. Universe works in mysterious ways!

I've been bullied for almost a year at work to the point I had to have a brief stint in the Psyche hospital. I saw Karma happen just because I drew her name for a Christmas gift exchange God told me to show her love and I was pissed beyond recognition after all she put me through show her love?!?! I thought about writing her a nicely worded letter and making something with coco laxatives in it. Again he said show her love so I did. She came to me crying and apologizing...Karma tastes Good :)

COMPANIES and Administration need to be sued for keeping bullies in their employ. THIS THE ONLY WAY TO ELIMINATE THIS. IT IS A FORM OF VIOLENCE and does cause substantial damages and injury. One word..note witnesses...document and SUE.

I don't believe that workplace bullying can be stopped. This is mainly due to the fact that many companies human resources department acknowledges that bullies may exist, they also allow it to fester. The new employee is left to remain mute and be professional. Ratting out your fellow employee is looked down upon by co-workers. Therefore, as Hunter S. Thompson use to say about bullies "The only thing a bully understands is a punch in the nose". I totally agree.

I am watching this at 4 am because I woke up and now realise I am afraid to apply to a new job because I am wondering am I incompetent, am I crazy, whats wrong with me? I just quit a job a couple wks ago because my boss was extremely rude to me, and now I am afraid of work. But I have to work to live and take care of my two year old. So, this really is bad.

I worked at a hospital where nurses bullied another nurse so badly she committed suicide; the hospital should have created a memorial bringing attention to this poor woman ; instead they pretended not to see;criminal charges should have been laid; bullying is bullying and adults do it plenty.IT IS VIOLENCE, same as kicking, punching or any other act of violence and should be treated as a criminal act with civil liability and termination . NO TOLERANCE POLICY. ADULTS are just as bad if not worse
