Browning it will make a huge difference, don't move it around constantly and use a high enough heat that it sizzles pretty intensely when the meat hits the pan. Better texture and flavor, and much more visually appealing than the grey meat in this video.

Rather than scooping out the fat or water you cook it off instead it’s much tastier if you do that

Christian Indian born in the USA here, I like seasoning with turmeric, paprica, pink salt, and pepper. It's really tasty with costco organic ground beef 😊

I just make rough patties and air fry. Fantastic and the most simple easy meal ever. Plain ground beef + salt & pepper is surprisingly good!

Thaw in the microwave, defrost setting is usually 10 min for 1 lb, flip halfway. Works great

“Add flavor if that’s your thing” like it’s not mandatory😭

You should sear both sides on higher temp to get the maillard reactions more flavor.

It's good in the air fryer too. Just need to shred/spread it around the tray and the pieces get crunchy edges.

I like to bake min ein the oven at 350 for ten minutes. I lay down foil and roll the 1lb into tiny meatball shapes. Cooks perfect everytime and I toss the foil for easy clean up :)

If you set it out an hr before just like a steak the meat relaxes and is less chewy

This is how I prefer mine. I do keep it in the freezer (mine comes frozen in 1 lb packs and I buy the 73/27) and thaw it in the fridge. Mine takes about 24 hours to thaw, and I eat 1 lb a day, so I just pull one out of the freezer and replace the one in the fridge.

But as to how I cook it, I also agree to chopping it unto small pieces. Not quite as fine as taco meat, but just about. But here's where mine differs. I cook mine until I can tell all of the water has evaporated from the fat. I remove the fat and filter it to use for cooking steaks and other things in. Once I've removed the fat I salt liberally, mix the salt in well, smoosh the meat down and let it get a nice brown. Stir, let it get a nice brown once more. Then I pour it in a bowl and add in 3 TBS of butter.

For me this gives maximum flavor, and I love cooking my steaks and other foods in my hamburger grease. It gives everything a great flavor. I've tried buying tallow and I just don't like the flavor, so this works really well for me AND saves me money.

No browning on the meat. Give it more flavor with the Maillard reaction while cooking.

Adding cooked bacon bits into the mix and 1 teaspoon onion powder then 1 teaspoon garlic powder and your ground beef will be mighty tasty. I like to prep so cook ground beef and put in containers for the next day and the flavors intensify just reheat with low heat and this is extra tasty 😋

Also I recommend adding 2/3 cup of water once it finishes cooking and let it simmer until its saucey like taco meat. 😁

You are the only carnivore that has explained how to thaw frozen ground beef. Thank you 😊

My trick to make deliciously browned and tender ground beef is to add a water, pink salt, and baking soda solution to the ground beef, in a stainless steel bowl.

I mix it well with my hands. I let it sit in the solution for 15 minutes.

Then I brown the meat on medium heat in a cold pan. No oil added to the pan! The 80/20 meat that I get has enough fat! I cut up the meat with a meat masher/cutter. I do not drain the meat. I then lower the heat, add organic Beef Bone broth, and cover for about 10 minutes. Yummm! 😋

I sometimes add garlic powder and mix it well before covering. No need for salt because of the solution with salt and baking soda. If you like a saltier flavor, you can add a little more salt if you want after it's done. I don't because it's salty enough for me.

Bon appétit! 😋

I like to add baking soda to the beef before mad mix it in. It changes the texture and makes it have a little more chew rather than just crumble
