1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Kosher salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Onion powder
1/4 tsp Mexican oregano
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Dry mustard powder
1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)

There's a reason people make it with white onions. White onions are better raw so u can cook 2/3 of it and use 1/3 as a condiment.

Does it taste different with leaner portions? I mean for me it doesnt make to bad of a taco... but for so.e reason especially with hard shells i like leaner portions better

I would prefer to use the taco seasoning envelope than the pre-made taco shells. I agree that the chicken broth would add taste to the meat.

Thanks for the recipe. Mine came out a little too salty. I was cooking 1.5 lbs so I added extra salt. Should’ve kept it at 1 tsps.

Season is good though. Nice smell.

I’m going to try making tacos tonight with fresh tortillas, only ever done the hard ones but I’m told fresh tortillas are amazing toasted off, hope they come out good because I’m looking forward to it, has anyone ever done them and any tips would be appreciated

NEVER USE PACKAGED SEASONING!
GET all your spices and empty all the bottles into a quart sized container and mix em up.
You'll live it so much more than prepackaged seasonings.
I refrigerated my spice jar. But I use it on so many things, I go through a quart in a couple months. I have a jar of oregano on the side too I use also for chicken and steak.
