SI Joint Self Adjustment -MoveU
Показать описание
The SIJ is a big joint on either side of your sacrum in the lower back. The SIJ can get “stuck” and results in some rather sharp, localized pain in the lower back that can throb and linger for weeks/months. On rare occasions, a symptom of a locked SIJ is *some* referral pain down the leg. The underlying cause for this “issue” is poor movement and weak muscles around the pelvis and lower back. The technique shown in this video is meant to provide you with some temporarily relief so that you can start strengthening the weak muscles around the pelvis. The self adjustment in this video is for the right SIJ and you can even get parts of the lumbar and thoracic spine to adjust.
We usually aren’t fans of “quick fixes” because pain itself is a motivator to learn how to move properly! If you eliminate the pain instantly, people lose their motivation to figure out why their SIJ was “stuck” in the first place. They don’t realize that it will most likely come back unless they fix the underlying cause of the issue. The cause? One glute, hip flexor, QL, abdominal, oblique, quad, hamstring, etc is weaker than the other side. Correcting an imbalance like this takes patience, time, consistency, and exploration.
