My ex, who I still co-habitate and co-parent with "forgot" to even say Happy Mother's Day. He said he reminded our 10 & 12 year olds the Thursday before, like it was their responsibility to step-up with gifts and/or cards out of thin air. Not that I need them, but it's not the point, ya know? The petty in me wants to "forget" Fathers Day, and honestly, I might just... 🤷‍♀️

My favorite is “helping” but doing it so poorly that it becomes a bigger mess than if they hadn’t helped at all.
Also, expecting praise and acknowledgment for doing something around the house. I can count on one hand how many times my husband has helped do the dishes in the 14 years we’ve been together. Now he isn’t a cover narcissist, and I’m not 100% he’s even a narcissist, his story starts off being born with a handicap that required him to be the center of attention growing up. So I’m training him lol, little by little to consider other points of view when considering an issue. He is mostly good and is worth the investment.
