Do you feel that stress is playing a part in your eyelids twitching?

Almost 12 years of the same thing. Both upper eye lids. Learned to live with it. Wish someone would find a cure as it seems to be alot of people having it for long periods of time.

I’ve been working overtime the past 2 weeks at work on little sleep and have had my left lower eyelid twitching for the past 3 days. This was comforting to hear. Thank you

So glad I've found this video! On my 3rd/4th day of eye-twitching, and I've been stressed out of my mind. Eyelid myokymia is extremely annoying, I hope it'll go away soon.

Thanks for the tips! My eyelid has been twitching for 6 days and im pretty sure its because of stress. 6 days ago i got a flashback of a moment in my life and it really stressed me out. And when im not thinking about it it goes away. So im gonna work on relaxing and spending more time with my friends and family.😁

Im older and have had this on and off in my life, and I absolutely agree that three life factors aggrevate it
1) fatigue
2) stimulants like coffee
3) stress and stressful situations

Try to solve those, but in the moment hold the twitch gently and calmly and try to be peaceful.

going on my 4th day of eyelid twitching.
very annoying. i am a student so my theory is lack of sleep, staring at a screen constantly, and stress.
i’m also taking zoloft and apparently that could cause twitching too. so many factors here. thank you for your video, very informative so thank you!!! i hope to get rid of this twitching soon

I've been dealing with this for about 20 years, im currently 34. Twice a year. Lasting anywhere from 2 weeks to usually 2 to 3 months at a time. Some days its a few flutters others its going all day. If something comes to close to my eye like my hand or anything being thrown, even if I get hit from playing around, it will set it off to twitch like crazy. I don't know what makes it stop or go away. Always felt it was a seasonal thing. But then I thought it was stress or lack of sleep. I honestly don't know. I don't drink coffee or tea. I know I've already struggled with sleep. Maybe it could be a combination of thing like lack of sleep & stress. As of lately I've able to get more sleep, just waiting on it to stop.
