Suffering from eye twitching in your upper eyelid ? This feels like Extreme Eye Twitching to me when my eye spasms out of control. My left eyelid started doing this random spasm thing since 11th November. My God its annoying you really want to cut your eye out to make it stop, Had this in the past a few times but it only normally lasts for a few hours and stops but this time its pretty much most of the time.
Periods of maybe 20 mins without any then could be doing it every 5 mins. The spasms last for about 5-10 seconds then stops until the next one.
It only affects the left eye and only the upper part of the eye.
You assume that everyone around you can see your eye doing this but they cant unless they are so close they are staring at your eyes when it does it.

It did eventually go away but since then has come back from time to time but only for maybe a few minutes.

Reading up on this the main causes of it are stress and anxiety, tiredness and exhaustion and drinking caffeine or alcohol.
So what you need to do is look at what you are doing wrong that could be causing this. For me it was stress, exhaustion and alcohol so I reduced those.
Of course in these difficult times (2020) stress levels and anxiety are very high which doesn't help at all.

There are a few medical issues that can cause this such as Dystonia or Motor Neurone disease but its very unlikely that these diseases are the cause.

Have YOU had this problem for more than a 10 days? If so what was your cure for it?

This is a bit different to my usual videos lol

Enough to drive you nuts eh? Seems to happen to me every few months. More than likely from stress and not enough sleep.

Be glad if you "only" experience this. I had this happen to me for weeks in the past, which eventually went away and now I am instead experiencing unilateral eyeglobe twitching. It's in my right eye, and it's a small rotational twitch, but my vision jumps around and it's extremely annoying. Drives me insane. It's called Superior Oblique Myokomia.

this happened to me before, this might sound weird but i loved the way it felt and i LOVED looking at it. It's weird that it pulls the lid to the left. I mean what muscle would pull your eyelid to the left???
Would really suck if it was constant though

This happened to me for first time today because I didn’t sleep. Although exhausted, I found it to be fascinating. The body is so mysterious.

I’ve been noticing my eye has been doing this for the past couple days I’m 13 and I’m getting pretty good slee so I know it’s probably not from sleep or stress at first I didn’t really mind it but now it happens for like 15 seconds every couple of minutes and is so annoying!!

Mine started in my upper right eyelid around 14 or 15. Am now 20 and it’s been getting worse. Usually I don’t get it much during summer or Christmas break, but come around exam time miraculously it starts twitching like crazy. So I concluded the cause is stress, lack of sleep, and constantly staring at my computer and then looking at my phone for a break.
So far what helps is I massage the exact part of the muscle that’s spazzing with my finger to release some tension- which for me is the far right of my eyelid where the top and bottom muscles sorta intersect. I also started taking magnesium which slightly lessened the twitching, and slightly improved my overall sleep quality which also helps tremendously.
I know it’s annoying but maybe it’s a sign that you need to change something in your life and your body is literally telling you whatever it is you’re doing is too much. Whether ur stressing too much or sleeping too little or drinking or looking at ur phone too often. I’d rather see this small issue as a warning that I need to maintain myself better

I faced this issue also, As a solution I can suggest to use eye drops. So use eye drop not for only down of eye and also up. This can also help if your eye is weaken and damaged by any bactery or something different thing. Anyway ask your doctor. As an alternative use eye drop medicine.

Magnesium + B Complex reduced it by 95% in my case.

Been trying to figure out mine for 8 years. Started in 2012, both eyes, continuously, all the time. Never stopped all these years, probably stops for a while when I’m knocked out. Looks different from yours though. Mostly the lower lids squeeze in, and you’ll have to get close to see the upper ones moving along with them. Wish I could say this has been my only nightmare. I have underlying issues, neurological and fibromyalgia confirmed with a blood test. Been to a few doctors who told me they don’t know exactly. One commented that it could be the brain. On my really bad days the lids spend more time in contraction (squeezed in). Doesn’t matter if I sleep better, caffeine or no caffeine (I only drink a mug of Nescafé), b12 or not, happy/rested or not. A frigging mystery to add to my health situation. It also feels like I’m spasming deep inside my eyeballs. Will probably record and post mine at some point.

this has been happening to me for weeks, it’s also not noticeable unless looked at up close but I feel it, it’s so annoying because idk how to get rid of it, and the primary factor for this is stress and idk how to get rid of stress

Could try a few things such as camomile tisane (tea wait until just warm) soak piece of linen apply to the closed eye lid. Rub downwards. Could make mixture, Eyebright, Valerian, Lady's Mantle. Swedish Bitters is amazing, I make my own from organic herbs and Glycerine. Takes a while to make, but it's super tonic I take it with natural honey. Can drink it or make compress from it....it's from an ancient manuscript possibly 15 century. Some herb teas are best made like ordinary tea with water poured over them, but only left for half a minute, but others, made in similar way but with cold water but left to stand longer.   Some herbs (e.g. Mallow, Mistletoe or Calamus) should not have boiling water poured over them.  Weak eyes are strengthened if the freshly pressed juice of the Calamus roots is brushed over the closed eyelids from time to time, the juice being left on the lids for a few minutes and rinsed off with cold water.
