Thank you Nicole. I am in a chronic state of anxiety and it’s difficult to sit still. After doing this I was able to stop my racing thoughts and be in the moment.

Thank you so much. I can testify that breathwork saved my life and helped me quit smoking cigarettes. I think it heals my vagus nerve too. I have cPTSD and I’m prone to vasovagal syncope (fainting from vagus nerve damage)

All those years walking on eggshells, holding my breath, waiting to exhale

I want to thank you. You are an angel. I am reading your book. How to do the work. Now I finally understand why i feel this deep pain after rejection and the causes of my patterns and how to heal. After all the therapy😢. Wish I knew this earlier. But I am glad to know that I can heal. You opened my eyes. Thanks!! God bless you and keep spreading your message!!

When exhaling, I count backwards and visualize my whole being emptying of the anxiety as I count down to 1. This counting backwards for the exhale has been particularly helpful for middle of the night waking up.. _/|\_ Thank you for bringing this beautiful breathing technique to us all, literally empowering us, reminding us to just breathe.

The timing and source are impeccable. Also I’m getting dehydrated and it’s messing with me. Don’t forget electrolytes ( magnesium/ potassium/calcium/ chloride) when hydrating. Sucking on ice saved me on many occasions from both anxiety attacks and dehydration.

I'm really glad you made this video. I tried this for the first time yesterday, actually. I used it in conjunction with some cold therapy to help stave off a panic attack (I have cPTSD). In combo with the cold, it helped settle my symptoms enough that I didn't need to take my "as needed" anxiety medication for the attack. That was new & a huge win for me :)

I don't know if it's going to be that effective every time but it definitely seems worth it to find out!! I plan on continuing to use this type of breathing for stemming my symptoms as they happen as well as adding it to my regular care techniques. I found it to be that effective for me. Thank you for sharing this!!

Since meditating, I am experiencing sadness and anger like never before. I typically do not allow myself to acknowledge or express either emotion. It is eye opening AND scary at the same time.

I've noticed that my auto CPAP's pressure differences encourage 3 second inhales and 3 second exhales with no hold period. So, I've been wondering if this type of rhythm could be causing my body stress.

Thank you! But does anyone else feel the need to take a huge deep breath? Its like the 4 seconds wasnt enough. Feels forced. Someone mentioned the jellyfish method and it feels so much better/calms the panic

Love box breathing but I think that jellyfish breathing is better and safer for most people. Box breathing can cause people to over-breathe which counterintuitively hurts peoples ability to self soothe
