I use a 8pro, and for me personally i literally dont feel or see much difference in performance. Yea sure the 9 series is a bit brighter, but i love my 8pro. Great design and cant forget that bay blue on the 8 ❤

choose the base pixel 9 instead of 8 pro for the same price
9 series has much better fingerprint scanner, modem and battery life

I'm a 8 Pro user. I think I'll wait for the 10 Pro XL next year. Not any huge leaps in performance, only in design. Only thing I might get is the new gen Pixel Buds

I bought the 8 pro 3 months ago on a great deal here in the UK, and it's great - EXCEPT for the hopeless fingerprint sensor, as you quite rightly point out! My trusty old Pixel 4a 5g was better, with the sensor on the rear.

• Pixel 9 Pro XL : the flagship, big screen with pro cameras
• Pixel 9 Pro : for those who want the flagship experience but not the huge screen
• Pixel 9 Pro Fold : the phone+tablet

Unfortunately for me there's not the one I want :
• Pixel 9 XL : the base model with a big screen (I don't care about the cameras)

Loving my P9PXL, massive difference from the 8 Pro that it doesn't get hot at all. The 8 Pro would get really hot just watching YouTube videos. Lasted me 7 hours of screen on time out in 5G.

I'm a bit concerned by this pixel 9 Pro battery life. How did you get only 5 to 6h of sot when the G4 is supposed to be more efficient. The pixel 9 pro has a big battery for a phone this size + has ltpo and the resolution and that much higher than the 1080p.
