Niagara Launcher is one of the best Android apps to ever exist. Makes every phone/tablet feel at home for me. The thing that differentiates it from other launchers is how smooth it feels. The animations are well tuned, the UI design is so well thought out and just in general it almost feels like a native app that'd come with the phone when it comes to the level of optimisation it has.

I still use a pixel 6 pro and am very happy with it, striped out a lot of the unnecessary android features and I get a solid 2-3 days of battery life. Its always fun to see new hardware but honestly threes not much in the last few mobile generations in general that's been terribly ground breaking for me. 6 pro is still an incredibly snappy and polished experience. Anyways, great review, love your videos :)

0:33 Nah, I’m cool with both Apple and Google. Each OS has its own ups and downs. What I really dig about the Pixel is its speed and quality when snapping pics—super slick. And like the iPhone, the Pixel’s stock Android is clean, no bloatware like other Android phones. Samsung Knights: stand down and stand by 😂

Why do all the 9 Pro XL photos look all washed out compared to the much better colors and sharper ones for 8 Pro?

What’s the outside battery life? My previous experience with the pixel 6 was horrible, using my phone outside drained the battery, and the modem was horrible at keeping a stable signal.

Great video as always Matthew. You've always been one of the best tech reviewers in the industry. I almost wonder whether it could be nice to do these sorts of comparison videos with phones that are a few generations old. These days most people aren't upgrading every year, they're upgrading every few years. Therefore it could be nice to see the genuine improvements of the Pixel 9 over something like the Pixel 6, for example. Comparing to the Pixel 8 makes it a much harder to point out the differences.

Nice comparison, mate! My 9 Pro XL will be delivered tomorrow. I've got an 8 Pro so not a big upgrade. I typically buy a new phone every year. Work is buying me an iPhone 16 Pro, so I'll have 2 new toys to play with soon.

I pre-ordered this phone in white. So far, I'm thinking with all the reviews, I may just keep my Pixel 6 Pro. None of these gimmicks appeal to me and not sure 1000 bucks is worth it to do what I use the 6 for. Even the screen sizes are almost the same.
