I cannot believe she didn't learn how to use the door handles. You press ONCE with your thumb. You pull TWICE when the battery is dead or an emergency. You are opening the doors emergency style, Alanis! You are becoming one of my favorite car content creators in spite of this.

So this is, essentially, a Lexus Grand Highlander.

The thing I like about Alanis’s review style is that she doesn’t short the context. She explains both the history of the product, and the kind of role it is designed to fill, giving you a lot in the info to let you the viewer judge the product on somewhat equal footing.

The Lexus Texus has a Texus plate, and reviewed by the Alanus of Texus

Alanis I will watch anything and everything you review. Love the fact that you are now including 'regular' car reviews instead of just what you sell. Doug will keep the quirky on the OG channel. Love it

Congrats Alanis, you got me to watch a 3 row crossover review. Usually not something I'm interested in, but you made it fun.

The doors are electric. Instead of pulling the handle, if you pushed the indent, it would have open. The 2 step function you used is manual and if the battery is dead, you can use it to get out…but I’m sure you knew that 😊

Out of the trio of reviewers that showcase cars for the two channels, you seem to be the one that has the most fun with it. It's a "quirky feature" in and of itself😊 And I'm watching no matter what you review. (Also really like this TX350 Grand Luxo MidBarge Thingy) Great job Alanis!!!

THIS... is Alanis King....and she is great! I think it's a great idea to combine the reviews with CnB. Love watching your and Kennin's reviews, as much as Doug's.

I’m all for Cars & Bids expanding into reviews beyond their current inventory, I like being informed on the state of the industry (especially if there’s a possibility of a new car being featured in an upcoming auction). Great review as always, Alanis!

I'm not too familiar, but I suspect the primary way to open the rear door was probably to push the button considering it is Lexus' new electronic lock. I suspect the pull is meant to be an emergency release in the event the electronics fail or the battery is dead.

Alanis, one thing Doug used to do while reviewing convertibles was show us the top going up then the top going down, with him sitting inside and waving, while iMovie royalty free music was playing. He doesn't do this anymore and it makes us sad. Could you carry on this tradition?

Doug is the kind of guy to star in his videos from the porta-potties in the background.

The door handles are meant to be pushed, not pulled. The pulling is a mechanical backup of the electrical opening operated by pushing on the buttons.

Hey. Did you try to push the button not pull it in the rear door? My wife’s new RX the door open by pushing button. Pull the handle when there is no power.

Tapping and scratching interior surfaces is an underrated testing method. Whether something feels solid and sturdy to touch versus hollow and thin makes a huge difference in perceived quality of a vehicle and the general experience with it.

People talk trash about lexus, about their slow engines and lack of tech. But they are so damn reliable. And they sell them like candy.
The market for lexus suvs is huge.
Not a lot of people want the nicest and lastest tech. Most want simplicity and reliability

The most impressive thing about this car is that the web designers managed to fit the names on a single page.

Good stuff, I like regular car reviews and you do a good job reviewing them Alanis! Keep 'em coming!
