The 2024 Lexus TX 500h F-Sport Is The Ultimate 3-Row Hybrid SUV Family Hauler

The #Lexus brand hasn't always gotten the 3-row family SUV formula right. While the brand has always had the Lexus GX and LX in the fleet, the new 2024 #LexusTX500h is a real first effort into delivering a luxurious SUV with actual space for full-size adults. The #TX500hFSportPerformance is the powertrain that should deliver the best blend of power and efficiency and currently in its segment, the #TX500h is the only conventional #Hybrid in its class. Just remember that the #LexusTX does share a lot with the new #GrandHighlander and while we do wish Lexus made a few more upgrades to make this SUV feel more upscale, it finally has the interior space and cargo room that American families are looking for.

Toyota / Lexus are smart for keeping a hybrid option unlike other manufacturers who just churn out an ev

Just picked up out today and absolutely love it. A nice upgrade from our 18 Highlander. We chose it over the 550h+ because of the rws, adaptive dampers and moon roof. The seats are nice for our smaller frames too. I can’t believe that guys lose those options with the 550 and gain a cvt. That was the deal breaker

I took a test drive of the 550h yesterday, the hybrid F Sport 3 version. I’ll appreciate any expert advice on the following problem. First, the brakes had a weird vibration when pressed down lightly at stop lights or turns in a normal city drive. It was not a smooth plush or a normal press down like in normal cars. It vibrated as if on a pebble road or there’s some mechanical problem inside. Then I asked the sales guy to drive and check while I sat on the passenger seat. On the passenger seat the floor had the same disturbing vibrating that cannot be termed comfortable at all. Finally upon parking back at the dealership the car cabin filled with a significant smell of burning and there was quite a bit of noticeable smoke out from the bonnet. This car was brand new, only about 30km on the odometer. Salesman said some other customers who had bought the car also complained about the burning issue but it probably subsided 0:13 eventually. I never had such an experience of many a brand new cars I’ve purchased. Is this a one car issue? I did not expect this from Lexus. PS. I also test drove a gas version, 400km driven new car but no such issues there. I welcome and look forward to your advice.

Can something that only seats six be called the ultimate family hauler? I can't even count how often, as a parent of three, that more than six seats have come in handy. They really need a second row bench option in this trim.

I want to like it, but the interior is a complete let down (especially coming from the company producing the LC). Sad when the Palisade Caligraphy looks better inside than a $20k more expensive Lexus.

Which one would you pick: the TX 500 or the MDX Type R?

Finally, a new Hybrid that has the same performance specs as my 10year old Hybrid. Took long enough to finally catch up with 2014 technology. Maybe in 10 more years we'll see technology from 2024.

13:19 Any way to get this with Android Auto? I have a '24 NX450h+ and would love this feature.

You can customizace the steering wheel with the driving mode selection.

The price increase from choosing the gasoline-only option to upgrading to a hybrid seems excessive, approximately $10, 000. Unless you strongly prioritize the smoothness at low speeds, this cost doesn’t seem justified by the benefits of the hybrid system. For typical annual driving distances of 10, 000-12, 000 miles, a premium of around $3, 000 would be more reasonable.

If you removed the Lexus badge from the steering wheel and asked people to guess the make of this vehicle, I am doubtful that they would guess Lexus. Chevy, Buick, VW, Toyota perhaps. 78K just BEGS for better interior appointments. And a 2.4 Turbo?? I am on my fourth RX with a V6, and nice interiors with small amounts of wood. I can't go forward for a fifth.

This is an 8 passenger SUV segment and it only has 6 seats? So basically it’s not for people who want more seats
