All New 2024 Lexus TX Is A 3-Row Family Workhorse

Показать описание
To get the family over the river and through the woods, the 3-row Lexus TX will get the job done with a premium attitude. Available in three models (350, 500h Hybrid and 550h+ PHEV), it seats up to seven. And yes, adults can sit in the wayback. Built on the same platform as Toyota Grand Highlander, the TX is assembled in Indiana. Tom Voelk checks out the entire lineup in Austin, Texas and finds there are some key differences between each powertrain.

Lexus provided transportation and lodging for this TX event. Opinions remain purely Tom’s.

Another great review! Saw a TX350 yesterday at the gym and its presence was much more substantial in person than online pics suggests. The Lexus rep who drove it came up and opened it for me to look around. I think you're right, Lexus will sell a boatload of these things! Thanks for posting!

This is a huge vehicle for a four-cylinder. I wonder how the engine will hold up

Front end looks like a Cylon a bit as well, hehe.

0:45 Lexus rep made an unfortunate choice with those jeans

Was looking forward to your review - thank you Tom 🙂 So at 8:53, the electronic door release strikes me as a safety issue; how do EMTs get to you in a crash if you are unable to unlock the doors? I know it's a fringe case, but it bothers me just a bit. Is there an equivalent mechanical release from the outside?

Great info. Always look forward to your reviews. I have a question please... how is the TX ride compared to LX600 ride? I have LX600 but I feel the ride is somewhat rough. I wonder if I should trade my LX for a TX. Would appreciate your thoughts please.

At that price point, that interior seems like quite a letdown.

What's up with the PHEV V6-3.5L?
TX350 (3.5L-V6 no more) is replaced with 2.4L-I4 turbo, yet discontinued Toyota's V6-hybrid kind of returned to TX PHEV? What gives?
How much cost development of Hybrid MAX? Why is not that one utilized as PHEV?

Yeah, that grill. Looks like an apocalyptic freight train.

Love ur review, u address stuff that matters most. No other reviewer address how many degreee turn is the rear wheel steer, only you. One thing i would like to know is what's the difference between Adaptive Cruise and Traffic Jam Assist? Cuz they sound the same, but customers need to have a subscription for the Traffic Jam

Very polarizing design. Targets only a specific small group of buyers

Bland exterior with Grand Highlander-looking interior. But it will sell.

Considering TX 550h+ as AWD replacement for my 2018 Pacifica Phev, but price of 79k puts it out of reach.

The Highlander version in platinum trim is more powerful and more features then the base trim

A turbo I-4 that requires premium and only get 23 mpg doesn't excite me much, I'm afraid. I'd rather have the Highlander's hybrid drivetrain.
