I spend a week with the 2024 Lexus TX 350 AWD Premium to see what it's like to live with. Overall, while it has a few things that some people may not like, it's a great value if you're looking for a luxury 3-row SUV, with this one's as-tested price of just $63,405 giving you best-in-class space, technology and the extra punch of a turbocharged engine, along with Lexus reliability and resale values. It's almost perfect in my mind. What do you think about the Lexus TX? Big thanks to Lexus for providing this 2024 TX 350 to review!

You’ve refined the review format to the point that it’s … PERFECT. Thanks for the content. 👍

The Lexus is by far the cheapest to own in the segment because of the high the resale value upon trade in and low maintenance cost. Finance the TX and put the rest of the money in a portfolio.

I saw a few of these already sold at the local Lexus dealer. They’re going to print money with these things.

We’re warming up to get a new TX500h luxury, none of it’s competitors give us close to the amount of space this has. The one we test drove was quite smooth and very comfortable. Definitely a step up from the loaner MDX we had for about a week. The only vehicle in this segment I haven’t tested yet is the QX60 but on paper the QX60 has been ruled out due to not having a lot of space and not having any more powerful engine options. The TX500h gives you 366hp which compared very well to the MDX Type S, while giving you better mpg.

I finally saw one of these today, really stood out on the road❗️

Interesting to see LEXUS and VALUE in the same sentence, thought that was reserved for Hyundai/KIA/Genesis products😋😋😋

The interior is super cool but I love the black interior especially the seats

It was a really great point how you mentioned the value part and comparing it to Toyota Grand Highlander

Great review! I think I’d still go for a Grand Highlander like you said!

I just bought one and noticed how stiff the steering wheel is. Did you experience the same? Also, can definitely feel most bumps. Wonder if it's just my unit? It's the luxury awd. Thanks for the feedback

is there any turbo lag?..if not why not since it doesnt have electric to bridge

How softer or firmer is the ride quality (on rougher roads) of the Lexus TX 350 compared to its other versions (500h, etc) and the Grand Highlander??

Love the color of this TX! What about a Jeep Grand Cherokee L as a cheaper alternative?

Interesting! At this price, if the Grand Highlander had not already done it, the TX has just deleted the CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus.

I'm surprised you don't call it the Texas Lexus

I’ll take the competitors with th their V6 enjoins and NON turbos cuz when that thing goes and it will that Lexus and all these new little engines that could with these turbos is going to be expensive to fix.

I think I prefer the interior of the QX60, however a lower price for the QX60 would make it more compelling. Grand Highlander seems like a good choice for reasons Matt pointed out. Thank you for the very good review as always.

Why did they flip the DRLs? It makes the car less stately and elegant and more aggressive, playful and more like a mainstream brand. The Lexus LBX has them as well and I think they don't fit the Lexus brand at all. The Lexus RX has beautiful lights and represents the Lexus brand identity among crossovers.

Can you please confirm that TX price. The one you’re driving you stated is $63k as tested. But that one with the heads up display, digital rear view mirror and premium stereo, no way adds up to $63k.

I am sure this is the TX Luxury, not base of Premium. You cannot build a Premium with HUD or digital camera mirror - not even if you add the Technology package. You have to go Luxury.

In Lexus' opinion the 2.5L hybrid is not suitable for such a vehicle. I agree with them. It would just be great if Lexus could do it like Mazda and rate their engines not only for premium but regular as well. People that buy Lexus aren't really going the last couple horsepower.
