You know how you can obtain awesome crispness without being burnt? In Taiwan (and my mama taught me), during the steam processing, you add a little bit of flour in the water, mix, and then pour. Try it. Gyoza/potstickers come out better.

Hi Mom & @Niki Niki gyoza are one of my favorite. So much so that I remember the first time I had them in 1990. Mom, about how much ground pork did you use. Mom looks good 🙏❤🙏🍀🌹
I too like my gyoza crisp.

That dish is looking nice and delicious and looks like wontons to me. I have eaten wontons before and love them so much.

Looks delicious. How do you keep the balance in the freezer without it sticking together?

Hi, Niki Niki, I make my gyoza the same way. However, I never considered adding sesame oil to the meat mixture. I'll try that next time. Take care~

Yep, that's how we make ours too!! We may add a touch of soy sauce to the mix, I can't remember, but it's a family cooking day when we make. We gather around the table and make about 100! It's so good...we make both deep fried and pot stickers...I love the pot stickers the best! Oba san did great!! Yummm, makes me want them today! 🌿💙🌿💙🌿

Folding the gyoza fancy- like is akin to cutting one's sandwich into triangles.
They are automagically 74.8% tastier that way! It's science!

Thank you both for the wonderful video! I'm going to try this soon, but with a different protein (seasoned tofu, perhaps)!

Your okasama makes the best gyoza! How do I know? Because I’ve used her recipe. ☺️. I love how she wets the wrapper first. I will definitely try that next time! One of my senior citizen friends’, who’s from the Philippines, introduced me to “Toyomansi.” It’s a mixture of shoyu and calamansi. I love this, along with vinegar, la-yu, and togarashi, to dip my gyoza into. Thank you for sharing, Niki no okasama. Odaijini shite kudasai! We love you! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for the video. How long do you steam them to be sure the pork is cooked? Could you steam them first, then fry them if you dont want it so crispy? Take care.
