Well said!!! My trainer told me the same thing. Makes a world of difference if you treat hungry as a feeling. Just because you “feel” hungry doesn’t mean you need to eat.

Whenever I feel hungry on a cut, I just tell myself, "If your hungry, it means losing weight, and it usually makes me feel better 👍🏼

I would also say, keep busy. Some people deal with boredom by eating and a lot of people do it without realizing. If you find yourself with a lot of downtime you fill with eating and doing mindless tasks like doom-scrolling consider a hobby, it doesn't even have to be physical, it just has to occupy your mind more than what you're doing normally.

So true!! I have learned to associate (reasonable) hunger with me getting closer to my goals. No different than the discomfort we experience in training. You begin to positively associate that temporary discomfort with getting results.

This is great advice, but like Sean mentioned too, don’t allow that to go to the opposite extreme, I was once at a point in my teens where I was eating so little that I got addicted to the feeling of deep hunger after like 8-10 hours because my brain viewed that = weight loss progress, so I would essentially starve myself to get that feeling and when I finally ate I was disappointed that feeling was relieved.

I understand, obvious to many to avoid that but if you’re not careful with weight loss/gain it can become a dangerous thing.

Drink water when you feel hungry.
That way you're both not overeating and working to get your water intake
