You can't prescribe stoicism, it's a way of being.

The interviewer is pretty annoying in this one, and the whole atmosphere of the interview is sort of a patronizing one to Ryan Holiday. The man has a solid philosophy and speaks a lot of sense, it's much more than just having "a positive attitude" or "meditating with your eyes closed". It's deeper than that and it's a shame they didn't take him seriously in this interview.

I think it's hilarious that Ryan Holiday is talking to THESE PEOPLE about stoicism.

This is so bad. What you do is you read Marcus Aurelius’ meditations. You don’t buy this guy’s book.

Odd place for a stoic to come to. A place where money and power rule vs truth and justice. Perhaps this stoic is himself looking for money and power.

So now you don't have to be qualified to be on tv. Just have a podcast.
