I worked at Clinique for five years and 100% agree! The sun's damage is the base of all skin aging woes. I won't use a day moisturizer without at least SPF 30. Collagen loss, loss of elasticity, wrinkles, spots -- all from sun damage.

David glad you did this video. I browbeat my clients and customers about wearing sunscreen daily. We cannot stress the importance enough about daily SPF protection under the makeup, makeup, on bare skin. If in the sun, reapply every two hours- despite the complicated time formula the suncare industry would have you try to calculate for replying. Every 2 hours. Even using a 50 at the beach will still give you a Healthly Glow you can avoid the burn and sun damage. Kudos David. I love La Roche-Posay Anthelios face 50, works the best for me and many of my clients.

I grew up in Puerto Rico, so my mom was always on our case about wearing sunscreen all the time. She even carried some in her purse to have us reapply. When I moved out for college, I fell out of the habit and now at 34 am starting to notice some small pigmentation on my nose and cheek (and no, these aren't the freckles that have developed). Now, for the last few years, I carry sunscreen with me everywhere. I have dry, sensitive skin and I also take a medication which makes me a little more photosensitive and can cause an increase in melanin production. My favorite sunscreen is the one from La Roche-Posay, anthiilios melt in milk for face and body, SPF 60. I have recently discovered Supergoop! but have yet to form an opinion on it.
One thing people seem to forget is that, despite using a UVA/UVB protector and applying every 80 minutes as recommended (since the application of a sunscreen needs to be 20 minutes before going outside, therefore you only reap the benefit for an hour) you will still get a little bit of color. What the sunscreen does is protect you from the harmful rays and prevents you from burning to a crisp and causing inflammation and damage to your tissues and cells. The UVA is to help diminish the rays that cause free radicals. All in all, sunscreen is the first defense in skin care. A good cleanse and moisturizer and any form of vitamin A in the evenings will help you not just protect but maintain your skin health. (Can you tell I've been doing a lot of research and talking to my dermatologist? LOL Sorry for the long-winded comment ^_^)

I've been using sunscreen daily since I was 13 or 14 (my mom told me to). I am now in my 30s and often told I look 20-ish. I live in a hot and humid country so my skin is exposed to the sun daily. I should thank my mom (she's in her 60s and look late 40s). ;)

Sunscreen all day, every day! My Irish skin doesn't tan so I've always worn sunscreen from the time I was a child. Now I'm 41 and I don't have wrinkles yet and I credit my vigilant sunscreen use. I love Supergoop! The setting spray is a game changer. Everyone should wear SPF religiously, not just for vanity but because of skin cancer. Thanks for another amazing video, David ❤️
