"Wrinkles are a sign that you've made it." -Dr Dray

Dr. Dray nails it again. ❤ Water aerobics covers so many of these topics. Working out without pain. Playing in the water like kids. Socialization! Singing if you wish with a group of energetic fun people, which makes your brain work to remember the lyrics. Laughter! People who notice when you miss a day. Wish I’d started when I was younger, but sure love it now.
Volunteering is my other love. 😊

She is so right about steps. Even regular walking for getting in 3000 steps for continuously 3 weeks made a huge difference for me. So walk walk walk

As an introvert, just the thought of going out for the sole purpose of socializing ages me about 27.5 years! 😅 Love all of your videos! 🫶🏼

A bit of an unrelated topic:

Your videos made me wear sunscreen religiously.
I had to fight against a racial attack last Sunday and I wore sunscreen. The slipperiness of the sunscreen on my skin helped me quite some bit to defend myself. It was difficult for the attacker to grab me properly.

In short, sunscreen gave me some sort of protection and advantages in self-defence.

Thank you so much for helping me to getting into this live-saving habit.

Good morning Dr Dray! I also get overheated when I sleep, but I can't throw my leg out from under the covers because that's when the monsters get you. At least that is according to all the horror movies I've watched.

Dr. Dray, i went for a mole check follow up the othrt day and started talking spf with the screening nurse. She suggested i follow a certain doctor on YouTube and started spelling out the name of the channel as I was taking notes. She goes" d, r, d, r" and I shout "dr. Dray?! I follow her religiously already" 😂
You're well known and loved the world over! ❤❤❤

Wow! So shocked at the loneliness and isolation. I haven’t been able to drive for almost 10 years now and it has made me stay at home so much. In the beginning I was bedridden for many years. Now I’ve gotten to the point that I just do not like leaving my home! It’s gotten so bad. I’ve only left my house 3 times this entire year!! 2 times for doctors appointments. I don’t even know how to start.

The social isolation statistics were a sobering reminder for me to sign up for sites like Meetup and volunteer. I moved to California last month for an internship and it has been so hard meeting people. It's worth the effort to keep putting myself out there. Thank you dr Dray!

I was unsure about spending $$$ for a pillow, but honestly it has been such a delight.

It was so crystal clear in minute zero of "social media" that all these unregulated addictive schemes would take their toll on us.😵‍💫 Happy Wednesday everyone!🌺

Thank you for highlighting the impact of isolation on health. Our bodies are wired for connection (evolutionarily speaking, being in community helped us maintain safety and sense of security). When we lack connection, our nervous systems become overactive, stress hormones are released, and over time our immune systems are depressed, placing us at risk for illness. Positive social interactions are so vital for our health!

I usually don’t leave comments, but I need to tell you how much I appreciate you and your videos! Thanks so much! I really relate to this video since I had anxiety issue earlier this year. As soon as I force myself calling some long lost friends, I felt much better. ❤

The last one scares me a lot.
I’ve had agoraphobia for 9 years. Treatment resistant.
I’m 29.
I’m frightened.

Great video, Dr. Dray! Making new social connections is something I am actively working on. While I've always been introverted and am recharged by solitude, I've become quite isolated since retiring during the pandemic. I've heard that some colleges allow people over a certain age to audit classes for free or reduced tuition, and I plan to sign up for a conversational Spanish class this fall at my local community college. I have previously taken two years of French and two years of Japanese and found the interactions with students of all ages and learning more about other cultures very fun and stimulating! P.S. I wish they would make an inflatable/packable Sleep & Glow pillow because I loathe being without mine when I travel!

i have always been a side sleeper but on your recommendation, i bought that pillow and it was a GAME changer. i’ve been using it for about six months and although i noticed the results- LITERALLY the next morning (no deep smoosh lines)- it is the gift that keeps giving ✨
