1:44 when she says “don’t look back, don’t look back.” These words speak to me a lot, and helped me a lot in life, when focusing to much on my past I forget to live for the now.

If only Anakin had obeyed his mother and not looked back at all. And if only he had been happy her husband had freed her from slavery and listened to his advice to not go looking for her.

Una scena di una potenza emotiva unica. Questo è più che cinema ; questa è epica pura, mitologica

1:42 Imagine if that was the last thing Vader heard before grabbing the Emperor in ROTJ. Not only would it be more emotionally impactful, but it would also kind of bring it full circle, as Anakin's fall to the dark side kind of all started with what happened with his mother, so it would kind of make sense she would play a role in his return to the light.

Sadly this boy's life was ruined too.

This was the seed of Anakin's anxiety: his traumatic upbringing as a slave and fear of separation from his mother, which led him to feel insecure throughout all his relationships, most importantly that with Padmé. It's a shame that the Jedi could never reassure Anakin, nor give him the time of day to work through these issues: he had so much potential. Lucas really had a grasp on human psychology even if his execution as a director was not always perfect.
