I think people ought to think of Differin as a long term strategy. It works short term for relieving acne, but long term, it will get rid of scars and maintain a youthful skin texture.

After a month, this gave me a glow and my skins texture was crazy better. My cheek area used to be a problem due to trapped and ingrown hairs. This completely took care of that. I used to have dark areas where it was obvious that there were trapped and ingrown hairs. Gone! I broke out initially but after week two it was out of the way. Month two is where I saw the best results. It’s all about commitment with this product. Even after a long night of clubbing, I don’t care how drunk I am, I will wash my face and put this product on before bed. Changed my skin completely!

I have simplified my skin care routine and it works just great for my acne. Here it is

Morning:
1) Rinse face with water
2) apply cerave moisturizer
3) apply beauty of joseon sunscreen

Night time:
1) cleanse with cerave hydrating cream-foam cleanser
2)apply differin gel
3) moisturize

Differin has been a game changer for my skin.

I have always been acne prone. And pretty much for 2019 and most of 2020, I had to wear a mask to work (and most other places for a while), I developed the worst acne of my life during this time frame. It appeared as hormonal acne mostly, and it was extremely painful and itchy. I kept trying out different products, even investing in dermalogica thinking that was a really great brand for skincare. I ended up having to go to the dermatologist, turns out I had developed a bacterial infection on my face from the constant mask wearing. I was on antibiotics (dioxycycline) for 6 months while it cleared up, and then using 2 different prescribed creams (a retinoid and metronidazole) during that time.

Finally, it got to the point where I felt I could manage it. My skin hit a wall with the prescription creams, and honestly, they were kind of pricey (no health insurance) and I ended up getting differin just to see what it would do for me.

I’m so glad I did. I now have a super simple skincare routine that is extremely affordable in comparison to what I’ve used in the past. I use the differin gel every night. My face wash is the Cera Ve Foaming Acne wash with benzoyl peroxide (4%) and then Cera Ve Daytime Lotion and Cera Ve Night Lotion.

Honestly this the best my skin has looked in over 10 years.

I also learned from another YouTuber to put your face lotion on before your differin and that really helped with initial irritation. Now, I generally use my differin first (unless I’ve been sunburned) and have no problem.

I (21 male) used differin in combination with a doxycycline for 3/4 months and now just differin for the last 2 months and it has helped me so so so so so much. I still don’t eat dairy and too much oil/sugar but before the treatment i would still get acne while eating “clean”. Now i eat the same but i don’t get acne, like almost none. So for me it definitely worked! Also helped with redness a lot! (I’m from holland)

Been using it for 5 months now and I think I'll use it for life. As someone who works outside I cannot emphasize sunscreen enough. Retinoids WILL make your skin more sensitive. Apply and reapply as often as u can, ideally every 2 hours.

I’ve tried it and Adapalene is the only thing that has ever worked. Caused lots of redness and dryness in contrast to my normal oil slick so with a calming moisturizer my skin is now clear!

In Australia, Differin is a prescription-only product. I love it and have been using it for years!

Your face definitely looks softer and smoother! It seems like a great product! Banish skin care products are also helping your skin to improve and look better!

FYI, you don’t need to use more than a pea size amount to cover your whole face. If you use any more than that you are just wasting it. My bottle lasted for about 3.5 months using it every night. I always use a moisturizer, either before or after applying depending on how dry my face gets.

Tretinoin has been a godsend for my skin but now that most of my acne is gone I jumped onto differin bc tret is a little too harsh rn especially for the winter!

I tried differin gel for three months and sadly it didn’t work for me. I get acne on my chin mostly. It made me go through a purge but never resolved my acne 😭. I’m now looking into different acne treatment options and of course watching what I eat 😊. You are very fortunate that this worked for you! You’re skin is looking fantastic!

I've been using differin gel instead of Proactiv MD's gel (was getting too pricey) and it was the same. Although it didn't help with hormonal breakouts around that time of the month :( it worked really well at taking away the inflammation and hyperpigmentation for me! Love that you used it too

I was researching reviews about Differin for acne scars and this video was the most complete I found. I'm going to start treatment with Differin 0.03% and now I feel more prepared for it, thank you very much!

I have been on adapalene like 3 months now. I had a horrific purge and then retinization. I stuck with it, almost quit because it was so bad. Eventually my skin acclimated and the results are amazing, I have almost completely clear skin. This is amazing since I am not a candidate for accutane and also my insurance won't pay for antibiotics.

I'm never stopping anything. When I stop, the"small potholes" (acne scars) are deeper, especially as you age.
