Acne treatment takes time. Consistent use of benzoyl peroxide and adapalene are going to be the most helpful. You can also add in salicylic acid to reduce pore congestion. Moisturizers and sunscreens are essential for skin barrier protection. See a derm if not improving in 3 months

This is some things I do that have helped me get skin without acne and glowing all day.
- Use a gentle face wash that removes extra oil and cleanses your skin well. I suggest littlleextra rriiceberry face wash only as it balances the skin pH as well.
- Eat a nutritious diet. Avoid oily, junk, and spicy foods. Choose vegetables, fruits, and foods rich in vitamins C, E, A, antioxidants, and minerals.
- Exercise aids clean impurities, so make sure to exercise regularly to cleanse your whole body.
- Avoid touching your face often coz our hands are often full of germs that can lead to pimples when they touch the face.
- Once or twice a week, use an oil or serum for a facial massage to improve circulation.
- Weekly, do a cleanup routine: cleanse, steam, scrub, use a mask, and rub 2-3 ice cubes.
- Washn your brushes and other things you use because they can harbor germs that can cause pimples when they come into contact with your skin.

It took a lot and trial and error but fatty alcohols seem to be what breaks me out. They are in most acne treatments and my concealer too so no wonder I wasn’t getting better. Went to layering Korean serums without fatty alcohols, illiyoon gel moisturizer and adding an rose hip oil on top. All cleared up now.

I feel like acne is the reason of my eating disorder. Not only lose weight could make people have eating disorder problem but acne is the reason too. I can't eat what I want I can't enjoy the foods without being worried. I feel like I've been avoid my favorite foods because of my acne. I hate this

Over treatment resulting in barrier damage is also a very common cause for acne flareup. I would recommend sticking to just one active in morning and one at night consistently for a month at least before expecting results.

Cerave benzoyl peroxide cleanser isn’t bad, it’s the only thing helped me, still I get 1or 2acne yet it cleared more than 10 nasty ones. But don’t forget to use some spot treatment at night and something gives moisture to your face.

Accutane. I am a person who has used every acne topical medication possible and nothing has worked for me and gave me lasting results like accutane.

It’s ok to use benzoyl peroxide with adapalene? It won’t dry out your face?

Being in the rare percentage of people who have an allergy to benzoyl peroxide 😂😂 like even 1% is enough to cause reactions.
I have found face washes with zinc oxide (like cetaphil acne pro)to be a decent substitute, especially since my skin is so sensitive.

I tried it all and though roaccutane worked, and clear skin went on a year after stopping treatment - it did rebound and come back. It toom a fairly young dermatologist to say that he thought it was a hybrid of rosacea and acne - I thought he was joking and laughed it off. He prescribed me zineryt topical and ivermectin. Cleared it up right away and people even commented on my skin.

benzyl peroxide doesnt work on all skin types. It has been my saving grace since I was a teenager and is still to this day (I am in my 30s). I had oily/combo skin when i was young and now it is combo/dry. If you have very dry skin, salicylic might work better for you. It didn't work for me. Benzoyl peroxide targets acne-causing bacteria and works best on red, inflamed acne and whiteheads. Salicylic acid exfoliates to help shed dead cells that clog pores and is helpful for rough, bumpy breakouts with minimal redness.
