For some reason my skin looks and feels way better when using adapalene rather than Tretinoin.

I'm on tretinoin now, but adapalene definitely had some anti-aging effects on my face when I used it for like 2 years.

The smile at the end lolzz! I personally use adapalene for anti aging because retinol irritates my skin no matter how much I buffer or spread out the use. Haven’t tried retinAl/ or tretinoin yet because adapalene gives me the smoothing effect I was hoping for! I love your shorts Dr Dray! ✌️

Anecdotally, adapalene along with liberal moisturizer use has definitely gotten rid of my fine lines and subtle signs of aging from not wearing sunscreen as a kid. I started it when I was 20, so I'm not too sure how well it would have worked if I had more pronounced photoaging. I'm still trying to heal my PIE after 2 years, and it just so happens that a lot of the ingredients that are recommended for that also have some anti aging benefits, so I feel confident enough that my overall routine should offer plenty anti-aging benefits as I get older. Adapalene is just much cheaper and easier to get than Tretinoin.

Adapalene helped improve the appearance of my skin! I was starting to notice my makeup didn't look as smooth and my pores were looking huge so i started to use dufferin gel 1% solely for this because I have no acne problems. It really helped to reduce the look of pores and my skin started to look so much better and brighter. After a while I began including bakuchiol in my routine and it was perfection. Now I use tretinoin cream .25 then .5, but if I can't get the tret cream, I'll def go back to adapalene.

I find tretinoin too harsh for my skin (my skin barrier is too compromised), even when using only the 0, 05% so I opt for adapalene 0, 1% and it's all good. It may have lower efficacy than tretinoin but with consistent usage, I believe it will bring great benefits as well.

All I know is differin makes my pores less noticeable and my face look fresher overall. Wouldn’t be surprised if it helps with fine lines in the long run.

I first used Differin in 2007, when a doctor prescribed it for me. My skin had never looked better. Then I stopped because my free insurance had expired, so I couldn't get anymore. I tried to find it online everywhere, because I never forgot what it did for my skin. Imagine my surprise when they started selling it over the counter, years later! 😭😭

I am 46 and started using retinol 5 years ago. I used it for 2 years then switched to adapalene. I used adapalene for a year and my skin liked that much better than the retinol and I did have a little anti-aging benefits, more than retinol. Then over a year ago I switched to Tret .025%. It was a total game changer. Talk about anti-aging. I'm serious, it reversed the clock before my eyes as the months went by. I would never go back to adapalene or retinol now. My skin looks better at 46 then I did at 40 by using tretinoin

I have not tried Tret yet, but I tried Adapalene a year ago and it really helped clear my acne but at the same time it dried up my skin. 💀 I realized later on that I wasn’t doing it right, I was putting way too much on my face and was using it with AHA toner ugh no wonder. So I stopped. Now i’m using it again because my acne is back, but i’m doing it right this time. I did my research and i’m so glad I found your channel. ❤ I am using a gentle toner now with Ginseng and a real good moisturizer with ceramides and it really helps a lot with my skin barrier. Doc, you are heaven sent 💖😭💖😭💖

Ohhh yes! There’s that Jim Carrey grin at the end. LoVe it😂😆

I hope so! I've been using it for the last year for this purpose alone lol (can't afford tretinoin right now). I think my skin looks pretty good tbh but hard to say how much it's helped with anti-aging.

lol it would be awesome if you used a CC service...I was very excited because the thumbnail captions said "skinny aging, " and I thought we were specifically talking about the aging issues of thin people. I am guessing it was meant to just be "skin aging"? PS any tips for those who are dealing with unintentional/health related weight loss & the ways it speeds up the signs of aging? my plump is gone & my face keeps trying to cave in...fillers are not an option, financially unviable & too icky to me.

67 years old. Been nightly alternating Differin with Avene Retrinal for about a year. Satisfied with results while realizing tret could be much better. Too much hassle for this one, lol.

I’m considering going back to adapalene cause my skin loved it so much…

I used adapalene before seeing a derm and switching to tretinoin and it has been far superior! <3

I used it for a year before starting to v use tretinoin. I truly saw a very good effect on my face and had many comment on my "skin like an angel"!!! and I'm 70 years old
