Fantastic again, Liz. One of my many problems is that when I say a phrase, it is understood but then the person I am talking to goes into replying at breakneck speed thinking that I can understand them and I am left standing open-mouthed, looking totally confused! Hey ho.

Love your videos, trying to learn mainland Portuguese. One suggestion if it’s not too much trouble. Would you let the sentences linger longer on the screen and repeat the pronunciation please. 🙏🏻

Boas or Oi are VERY informal . You must not use it to salute someone you don't know or at a service.

I went to Portugal last summer, and my favourite part of my trip was not the sightseeing, but to have Portuguese conversations with the locals!

I am trying to learn so I can speak to my Madeiran Lady friend in Portuguese and your videos are helping me understand the basics of pronunciation and phrasing.
Every morning I send her a Bom Dia message written in portuguese and copied from a translation app, she finds it very romantic. But a lot of what I write I am doing so parrot fashion. I will get there though, I am stubborn :)

I always like your video but please do allow the translation stay a bit longer on the screen before moving to another phrase. Keep the good job up

How different is it from the one in Brasil? They say the Brazilian one is more relatable? I'm open minded. Are the accents that different?

Hi Liz ! Wouldn't it be better to just say, esta' muito frio, or, que frio ! instead of, que frio de rachar ? I never say de rachar .
