In Brazil, saying (Goodbye - Adeus) gives the impression that you don't want to see the person anymore or that you won't see them again, so just say (Bye - Tchau).

Me again! I was looking for a print out of all these useful phrases. Portuguese (and the English). I would print it out and carry it around with me. It would be useful for studying and also give me confidence when trying to speak Portuguese to local people. Just an idea.
