I am a Portuguese living in China and watching your videos has been so therapeutic for me.

I am loving my experience in China and I love the Chinese people, culture and language (I have wanted to come here for years!), but I do want to return to Portugal once my work contract ends.

Watching foreigners loving Portugal and appreciating my country, culture, and language makes me feel so happy and grateful for being Portuguese. And the thought that one day I will return to my country makes me even more grateful to be having this expat experience myself, here and now in China. All the experiences you go through in Portugal, I am going through the same but in China.

We are all humans, we are all citizens of the world :)
Beijos e felicidades para todos, de uma portuguesa na China! :)

We spent a few years in Portugal, and Liz’s videos and course(s) were, for me, the very best of the many ways we came across to learn the language. They really are perfect for English speakers, whichever anglophone country you are from. I’ve noticed lately that there are a lot of ads on YouTube which (oddly) try to belittle the idea of “watching YouTube videos” to learn to speak Portuguese. But don’t be fooled - Liz’s vids and even more, her courses, are both fun and quite serious (not contradictory qualities), better than any other method I tried, which was quite a few. I have no financial or other interest here, just trying to pay our experience forward. Cheers!

My wife is half Madeiran and slowly learning Portuguese with your help. One of your suggestions was to listen to Portuguese music and she found it really helps, plus she now has a few favorites (Ana Moura & Carolina Deslandes). We love Portugal and have been to Madeira, Porto, Lisbon, Obidos, Nazare, Fatima, and Sintra. Been having saudades again, so making plans for Douro Valley and the Algarve.

We are heading to Portugal for our second trip next month, I appreciate your video! Last trip we visited Lisbon to Braga, and this trip we will be traveling more to the south, from Lisbon to Tavira. We hope to retire there and want to speak your wonderful language.
