The problem is a lack of self-responsibility. If taking credit cards out of the equation helps, then do it! But don't blame the tool for using it irresponsibly.

Aussie here - and the Dave Ramsey show is literally speaking words to heart ! Ive learnt everything hes saying in these chats from personal experience . I got married 2 years ago and fell into extreme debts, loans, mortgages and money borrowed from friends and family ! I made some really horrible mistakes with finances and all I can say is stress kills ! After 2 years Ive managed to pay off everyone I owe money to, sell my investment property cause I owed so much, being an architect I worked full time, and started a side hussle doing projects paying me a great deal of money . I would get paid from my side hussle jobs - save and pay off creditors - and now Ive saved 60k !! I cant be any happier in life - good luck and God bless you all

As someone with 4 credit cards i have never missed a payment nor have i ever paid interest.
Its the user not the credit card. This guy would blow over a million dollars

You can make about $36/hr right now as a nurse in Miami. As an rn you can work 80 hour weeks which gets you around $3600 a week before taxes. There’s no excuse for having this much debt as a nurse during these times.

The problem with credit card interest rates is that compound interest works both ways.

As a nurse, he can’t find a PRN, flex pool or, float pool? Tons of shifts to pick up all the time at hospitals I’ve worked at and currently work in.

She isn't working so she is going to need to take care of the kids. He is an RN, he can make 100k a year, he just needs to work more at a second job

I’ve met many travel nurses that came from Florida and they would do travel assignments and bring in close to 10 k a month after taxes (including the stipend).
