For soy intolerant people out there I'm just letting you know that it works also with Almond milk!! :) I made my own homemade almond milk for this, purposely with a high concentration of almond so it was higher in protein than store bought I think.. at first i thought it was not going to work but I just kept adding more oil gradually and it work beautifuly !! Other than that, I didn't follow the recipe to the letter but it was still super good!
Also it worked for me with a regular blender.

mayo has been one of the things (next to eggs) that were hard for me to quit. thank you so much for this video! not only the mayo, but the little tips and tricks on the side (like adding salt to garlic, when chopping). Thanks for being such a big inspiration! greetings from berlin, germany :)

I love adding black salt (or kala namak) to my mayo to make it taste extra eggy like traditional mayo! That baconaise looks delicious, I need to try it

I recommend adding black salt for that egg taste! It's really amazing.

Aquafaba (chickpea water leftover from the can) makes a great mayo if anyone can’t have soy because of allergies etc. Probably would need to change the recipe for it but maybe Gaz can make a soy free version at some point 🙂

Thanks so much!! In the first rescipe I replaced soy mill for chilled coconut milk and replaced Gravesend oil with coconut oil. Then I used a hand mixed and whipped it instead of blending and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the recipe.
Then I added pepper, salt, and onion powder and it tasted amazing

Just to add to the history of mayo... The French chef who invented it, was actually in the city of Mahón, Manorca, in Spain. That's why the name, mahonesa, which later was changed to mayonnaise.

Omg I just made this and I couldn’t stop saying OMG 😅. I’ve tried a few vegan mayo recipes in the last years and this is really the best one. Thank you so much for sharing it! 💕

I'm personally happy to see you're doing videos for simpler recipes. Your recipes are to swoon for, but they are often so complex that the culinarily challenged like me can't do them.
This I can handle.

Bro you heard my cry for help. I'm transitioning to vegan for the first time ever and made some fries yesterday but had no vegan mayonaise to go with it!

As a crazy mayo lover who recently turned vegan I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this amazing recipe!

This is SO GOOD. Made it today for my family and they were blown away a vegan mayo could taste so authentic! Added some typical spices for mayo (paprika, coriander, turmeric) and the similarity to non-vegan mayo was CRAZY!

Now, both of these look like something I would like. As odd as this will sound, I never liked mayo. To me it was slimy and I knew it had eggs in it and I never liked eggs (I've been a picky eater since I was a child). But these look good - no eggs, healthy ingredients and some herbs for some zip to our taste buds. TY Gaz for sharing with us! Stay healthy.

Mate, Baconaise is going forward. I've literally just made this and it's banging. 😂 Made the garlic and herb also, you're right half the garlic. I don't think I'll ever buy mayo again... It too simple and quick to make yourself! Great work mate, also working through your plants only book. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

It works in a regular blender, also I added 1/4t mustard and 1/2 salt. So good.

I've been trying to buy vegan mayo for weeks! But I'm so particular about it and none of the shops near me have the brands I enjoy. Thank you for this video!

Been making that base mayo for a while and I like it a lot. It thickens very quickly.

Thanks dude! Is it weird that I wanna gift this kind of thing to people instead of cookies, jam, or other treats? Lmao. I'd love to get a jar of homemade veganaisse as a present, personally.
