Other new additions to the D7500 include the addition of 4K video (up to 29:59 record time). Like the D500 the D7500 uses an additonal 2.25 crop factor when shooting 4K as opposed to oversampling. The price of the D7500 is also a bit higher at $1249 USD body only however this seems to be in line with Nikon's current model hierarchy. I try to never pass too much judgement on a camera I have not had in my hands...stay tuned and we will take a closer look at the D7500 in a future video!

Sorry for disturbing you again, but I have a few questions, how is the D 810A connected to a telescope for taking pictures, is the lens of the telescope compatible with the 810A, and can any other camera be fitted to a telescope? Thanks again.

Hi Jeremy, I wouldn't buy the D7500, I will stick with my D7000 for the time being, good review, thanks.

I've had a card fail once, and I would hate to have traveled a long way to loose shots that I will not be able to take again. Also things like weddings.

I don't understand complains, Nikon gives us two options. If you want high end DX camera buy D500, but if you want affordable and compact smaller body especially for those with small hands like me go for D7500. I never liked D7100/D7200 ergonomics despite being great camera. I wish they make smaller one with tilting screen and better burst shooting and they come up with D7500. I never used second SD slot on D7100 neither battery grip. Also as you said Jeremy I think Nikon won't make D7xxx series with dual slot anymore since D500 is available, like Canon 80D. We see a lot of improvements in D7500, 8fps and 180k metering system with 50 RAW buffer is impressive for this price range, 4K video and the ergonomics..
D7500 is my next DX camera :)

Wish they would update the D750. 8fps and a 50 shot buffer for the D750 in 14 bit be way better than 6.5 and piddly 15 shot buffer currently..Over two years now and no sign of an update.

"Ditto" I'm an enthusiast only, and I see the marketing strategy of Nikon clearly. The new flagship crop is the D500, and it is no longer the D7xxx iterations. So for us D7100/D7200, a logical upgrade for us is the D500 or the D750 replacement. And, everyone is so perplexed with the D7500 release in light of the D7100/D7200...

Nikon is a real disappointment for some users. Dual card slots is one thing, but removal of AFS AIS along with downgrading the pixel density could hurt Nikon not to mention the removal of the battery grip

Hello, have a question for you: I shoot landscape and portrait with my Nikon D750 with nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8... also shoot macro with D7200 and nikkor 105mm f2.8 with 1.4X tC with Sigma ring flash....street photo with D750 sigma Art 35 and 50mm F 1.4 and finally birding with D7200 with nikkor 200-500mm...so, strating to find all this very heavy and i'm very tempted with Fuji X-T2. In your opinion, can the fuji replace everthing with equal picture quality?

I don't see why the designers at Nikon came out with this D7500, it is not worth buying, the D500 has so much more to offer.

Let us not forget. Nikon has already stated that it will be streamlining it’s DSLR range and concentrating more on the ‘higher end’. Everyone is ‘assuming’ that this is the D7200 replacement. ( This is the D5600 replacement ) When it ‘hits the shelves’ in June/July, Nikon will then officially DITCH the D3xxx and D5xxx lines. Has the penny ‘dropped’ yet ? The D7500 is now Nikon’s … ENTRY LEVEL DSLR … hence NO ADDITIONAL GRIP ... and the single card slot, smaller battery, etc, etc …Later in the year, the price of the D7500 will have dropped to around the $1000 mark. We now have a $900 to $1000 price gap between the D7500 and the D500 … Nikon will then ‘unleash’ the D350 on the world. ( The ACTUAL D7200 replacement ) A slightly ‘detuned’ D500, priced at about $1500 - £1600. As for Full Frame ? A ‘detuned’ D5, the D10 … an updated D810, the D900 … and an ENTRY LEVEL D750 update. So, there you have it … Nikon’s new 'HIGHER END' DSLR range. As the ENTRY LEVEL DSLR in Nikon's "NEW" range, the specs and ( $1000 ) price are actually ... not that bad ! !

I think that this camera is overpriced for what it offers. Only one SD card slot was a mistake by Nikon. If the price would drop to $1099 this may make a good compact travel camera. I am going to stick with my D500/D7200 combo and wait for the D850 or D760 since I am down to one full frame camera.

I have had this camera for about three months

Brilliant ....great pics ...great video ALL THE NEGATIVE 👎 CRAP POSTED is rubbish. Dual slots is so overrated ....ffs I have never had a card fail ....carry a spare one geez

It’s actually a really good camera ...it’s close to d500 but $700 cheaper ...yup that’s a big saving for a lenses bag and lol a spare SD card

The Fujifilm xt20 comes with only a single card slot but nobody is bitching about it so why all this fuss about the D7500???

Hello again Jeremy, I saw some other reviews on the D7500, this camera sucks, what is Nikon doing, no wonder they are losing business.

Nikon clearly targets the enthusiasts market NOT the pros with this piece hence the single SD slot. It has been developed to sit above the DINKY models but not have enough to be in a position to challenge the D500 sales. Something like what Fuji did with their XT2 / XT20 models. Is it a deal breaker for enthusiasts the fact that it carries only 1 card slot? Don't think so. Is it a deal breaker that it does not support AIS lenses? Again no, most of these guys will buy the camera with the kit lens and probably never think of buying another lens ever. 8 FPS, touch / tilty screen, 4K recording, awesome sensor and A/F, amazing ISO performance, and expeed 5 awesomeness, these are the points to make it an attractive option for NON PROs, and I think it will do very well. If anyone needs more features in a camera then they will simply have to opt for the D500 full stop.If anyone expects that Nikon will include everything that the D500 offers in a cheaper version it will NEVER happen, Just my two cents.

2 sd Card Slot, 30-36 Mpxl sensor, 4K Video, 8 Fps, Tilt LCD Touch Screen, ISO 100-102400, Wifi NFC Bluetooth, GPS, I think this should be the specifications of nikon d7500, #NikonEngineerFail #NikonwillGOBROKE
