I use it 4 years in different enviroment.No issues. Fantastic dslr. This is tank camera! Waterproof! Sealed! 4k 30fps. But price at the moment is higher than i payed around 900$

The D7500 is a nice improvement over the D7200, a baby D500 for a bit more than the D7200. I know what I would choose. The second slot is comically overblown none issue and when people justify the 7200 as a better camera because of it, it just makes me laugh. The same for the comments saying its like a D5**** upgrade. The D7200 has the 24mp processor these cheaper cameras have and the D7500 has the same processor as the better D500 yet people say that! Sell your old D7200 and get either the D7500 or D500, you wont regret it when you see the results.

Does the video autofocus still hunt? If so, I see no reason buying this despite the 4K

Nikon is narrowing their lineup. This is the beginning of the end for the D5000 line of cameras. The D500 at the top the D7500 in the middle and the D3400 at the bottom.

It sounds like a couple of trade-offs from the D7200. One card slot, but you get a tilt-touch screen. Fewer megapixels, but you get the Expeed 5 processing engine. I guess if you like your D7200 you may keep it since this doesn't really offer $300 more in value unless a tilt-touch screen and 4K video are very important to you.

I'm not sure who this camera is aimed at. I have a D500 and am considering a second Nikon to compliment it. I was initially considering a D7200 then caught site of an e-mail relating to the D7500. When I read the specs I was a bit underwhelmed. I can buy a brand new D7200 for £689 but the D7500 will cost £1300 and I just can't justify the extra cost. Perhaps it's aimed at D5 owners who require a back up camera at a lower cost to the D500: but with only one SD UHS 1 card slot I'm not so sure. When Olympus released the EM1 mark II a lot of people baulked at the price over that of the EM1; but I bought one and it is so much better than my old EM1's I easily justified the cost. I just don't see the D7500 in the same light. If I buy a second Nikon it will be a D7200.

Please suggest me which one to buy canon 80d or Nikon d7500. I am a photo enthusiast and also prefer good image quality.

Waiting for the next D750, D760? Put a full articulating screen on it, improve live view focus (PDAF!), full frame 4K would be a killer. That way I don't have to get a Sony or Panasonic. Already have D810 for my photo needs, I want a Nikon 4K camera please!

Did not mention thtat the D7500 has only one SD-card slot. Huge downgrade from the D7200 and probably a deal-breaker for many.

i want to get one .. but it single card slot push me back. nikon don't aware if many people use d7200 for pro shoot because of it 2 slot.. .. and many of them can't afford for d500 ..like me.. very sad :(

It's a sacrificial move and marketing gambit to jerk an upgrader impulse to D500 that must be lagging in sales. And to push D5xxx upgraders to D7200. Dual slots to save stills and videos are much, much better than one. Nikon maybe has plans to manufacture their own adapters so that it's Nikon F can be compatible with other mounts in competition with adapter manufacturers who are now having a field day.

Guys + Gals. Remember, this is Nikon’s 100th birthday year …. AND, let us not forget. Nikon has already stated that it will be streamlining it’s DSLR range and concentrating more on the ‘high end’. Everyone is ‘assuming’ that this is the D7200 replacement. ( This is the D5600 replacement ) When it ‘hits the shelves’ in June/July, Nikon will then officially DITCH the D3xxx and D5xxx lines. Has the penny ‘dropped’ yet ? The D7500 is now Nikon’s … ENTRY LEVEL DSLR … hence NO ADDITIONAL GRIP ... and the single card slot, smaller battery, etc, etc …Later in the year, the price of the D7500 will have dropped to around the $1000 mark. We now have a $900 to $1000 price gap between the D7500 and the D500 … Nikon will then ‘unleash’ the D350 on the world. ( The ACTUAL D7200 replacement ) A slightly ‘detuned’ D500, priced at about $1500 - £1600. As for Full Frame ? A ‘detuned’ D5, the D10 … an updated D810, the D900 … and an ENTRY LEVEL D750 update. So, there you have it … Nikon’s new 'HIGH END' DSLR range. As the ENTRY LEVEL DSLR in Nikon's "NEW" range, I don't think the specs and ( $1000 ) price are actually ... that bad ! ?

Pretty much a over-glorified version of the 5000 line without a swivel screen. Shouldn't be considered a 7000 series at all, because it has only one card slot and you can't mount old lenses. For a little bit more than what it's worth, you could get the d500 used for that much.

it's not a true predecessor to Nikon d7200. granted that it's has +d500 af and iso (but who shoots at high iso?). but no external grip support, no dual card slots, no back button af, no NFC and no Nikon old lens support . because Nikon mostly makes money by selling 3000 and 5000 series cameras they decided to name this camera as a d7000 series one to justify price and get more people to buy it. in reality is a beginners camera better than 5000 series but not actually a predecessor to d5200. and this price doesn't justifies the current specs.

D7200 looks superior on paper apart from 8vs6 fps and 4k video.

first look? didn't look hard enough, plastic body, cant use older lenses, only one card slot, no NFC, no af back button, lower resolution screen, cant add a grip, and more expensive,
